Would you go back to a hair stylist after not using them for 7 months? I had used this salon for 6 months but after a so so haircut started looking elsewhere. Well I haven't found anyone better and actually miss this stylist. I just feel awkward going back now.Haircuts have always made me nervous- what if they cut off too much. etc. I'm about to call for an appointment so please tell me I won't get a chop job or the hairstylists revenge. LOL

Hopefully you are dealing with a professional hair stylist who would not give you a chop job or take revenge on you. That would be very immature on the stylist's part. I would go back.

I'm with you! I approach the hair stylist the way many approach going to the dentist. I've got moderately curly hair, and I've never found anyone who understands how to deal with it.

That said, your former stylist won't care. He/She wants you to return, and will give you the style you direct for him/her to do. My best cuts have been when I've provided a picture up front. Online websites provide really good pictures of hairstyles -- you might want to start with that.

I'll be getting my hair cut later this week for the first time since June, so I do feel your pain. Good luck.

I once made up this elaborate lie that my cousin's boyfriend was a hairdresser, and he cut my hair for free, and they broke up, so that's why I came back. :rotfl2:

OP, you'll be fine. I stopped getting my hair cut and colored as often as I just couldn't afford it. I started coloring my own hair and only going back every 4-6 months for a haircut. I haven't gotten a revenge haircut yet ;).
