Had Our DVC Canvas Framed Tonight -- Wanna See?

Took it with us to Michael's and when we didn't find an open frame that we liked, the framing associate told us to pick out a ready-made we liked (from a certain aisle so that it would hold the canvas) and he framed it for us, no charge! He even did the whole "covered back" thing and attached the hanging hardware for us.

The frame was on sale (40% off), so all told, it cost us $12.49 plus tax. Can't beat that!

Is there glass in the frame or is it open in the front?

The framer told us that basically none of the frames they had would be deep enough (even the custom-order ones) due to the width of the canvas. He said that happens with most canvases. He pointed us to one specific aisle that had frames that were deeper than the rest, and then removed the glass (he said not to use it 'cuz the acrylic finish might stick to it) and put it into the frame.

Then he added the paper covering on the back (so you can't see the back of the canvas at all) and the hanging wire, and he even put little rubber "feet" on so it wouldn't bump against the wall. He did a great job!!

Thanks for posting the picture-that's beautiful! I posted asking how to frame it. Whoever responded said it was meant not to be framed, just hung "as-is", which I didn't want to do. I love what you did-Michael's, here I come!

Sure! Here you go:

The photo makes it look like the "bump" in the paper from the canvas is bigger than it actually is -- I measured it, and it's not even 1/2", so it lies pretty flat against the wall. HTH!
