We're going in November with DS5 and DS3.5

We've got the DDP and are open to doing lots of character meals because it's our first time taking the kids.

However, DH is adamant that he doesn't want to eat at H&V twice (which I get, sort of). But I just can't seem to choose between the Disney Jr breakfast and Minnie's holiday dine. I know the kids, esp my younger DS, will love the Disney Jr characters, but the holiday dine just seems so special to me. We are also seeing Mickey etc at CM another night, so DH votes for me dropping the holiday dine and having our one meal at H&V be the Disney Jr breakfast. However he's open to either way, as long as we only eat there once. I just can't seem to make up my mind! Anything I'm not thinking of?

Hi there! I'm bringing my DS2 for his first trip too! I was having difficulty deciding for this also but ended up with the holiday dine. The reason I chose it is because you can meet the Disney Junior characters by the show with a relatively short line. The holiday characters are a little tougher to meet I think, it's either they will have longer lines or not available to meet except in special events... Hope this helps a little and have a great trip with your little ones!

The only place to meet Handy Manny is at the breakfast - so if he's important to you or your kids then that should be your meal. If your kids do not care about Manny, then I'd recommend the Holiday Dinner as they wear exclusive holiday outfits that you can't meet anywhere else (except for Santa Goofy).

If it helps - here are my photos from both meals:

I wondered about which meal as well, but it was pretty easy to decide to do the breakfast with the Disney Jr. characters. They grow out of Disney Jr., and I want to maximize that experience while it is as its most special, as it might be for your kids, going by their ages. Yes, you can meet them elsewhere, but I've found the meals to be better for my kids, because they're in a better, more relaxed mood while eating than when they finally get to the front of a M&G line. Besides, I have two of my four who would probably enjoy meeting Doc or Jake twice.
To be fair, I am also a person who is not wowed by the same characters in different outfits like others seem to be. It's still Mickey. :confused3
Ultimately, though, my DH didn't like the other F! dinner package restaurants in that our kids eat a bigger amount and more variety at buffets than a sit-down meal, and we as parents relax and let them eat as much or as little as they want, they can get seconds if they really like something, etc. Buffets just really work well for our kids with different palates. So, we're doing H&V twice after all!
