Guide dog meets Pluto

I wanted to add that I think this would be an awesome pic to send in to the "memories" campaign!

I saw this wonderful picture earlier this morning and ... I LOVE IT!! :lovestruc

Pluto is my favorite and that guide dog is absolutely precious!

It was almost perfect how he rested his head on Pluto's and they were looking into to each others eyes.

I just showed my kids (Home again because of all the snow in CT!) the picture and they let out a great big, "Awwww!"

I had to refresh the page to see it. Try that.

And what a precious picture! Totally made my morning!

Ohmygosh, y'all are so sweet!! :grouphug: That is Newley... and definitely in the "it's a small world" category, I discovered after posting about him a while back that it was an actual DIS'er who had taken care of him as a little puppy before he began his training with the guide dog association.

He is a Disney vet, and there have been some great character moments with him, but he *really* took to Pluto there... It was so sweet. And equally as wonderful was how Pluto interacted with Newley, just so gentle and non-intimidating.

It's funny -- Usually on almost every ride, Newley immediately crams himself under my dad's feet and goes straight to sleep. But there are two rides, Jungle Cruise and Snow White, that just fascinate him for some reason. He rests his chin on the side of the ride vehicle and just watches everything go by. It's so cute!

I'm just so thankful Dad has Newley... he has given him so much more independence and freedom, and he is just the sweetest dog. It's hard to not love him. :goodvibes

We got a call from the Superintendent's office last night saying we were off again today. Apparently they can't clear away the snow from the parking lots. Please. I cleared out 3 driveways yesterday with a snow blower and a shovel.

I am a teacher and love snow days but I fully understand that when June comes... making up these days is going to stink.

Thank you for giving us a name to go with that sweet face! How awesome that a Diser trained him! It's so hard for me to hold back when I see a guide dog - I just want to go up and hug them - but I know they're working!! Newley is so lucky to be a disney dog!!

Yes, we received the same call last night with the same problem: Too much snow in the parking lots.

My kids let out a great big whoop, clapping and cheering wildly at their good fortune. I was happy for them, but I know come mid-June they'll be doing much whining and complaining!

Oh, me too! I saw a German Shepherd guide dog at the Magic Kingdom in early December (I had never seen a German Shepherd guide dog before). I had to resist the urge by shoving both hands deep inside my pockets.

My heart just melts when I see them! I love dogs in general - but guide dogs are just unbelievable. The loyalty and love they have for their people is amazing. And Newley really looks like he's loving the attention from Pluto! I wasn't a huge fan of the photos on the castle thing, but I would love to see this pic up there!

that picture of pluto was a great picture nice to see the characters care about everyone

Gina - Seriously that is the absolute BEST character picture I have ever seen! You have to submit that picture to the Memories campaign...
