I'm trying to convince df to get one of these but he is put off by the ring binder to hold the pages!

Has anyone had one of these or got any pics of them?

Thanks

I really like these also but am not sure which way I want to go with a guest book. I love the Shutterfly books so I started making one of those (not finished yet but I plan on doing so). My DF said he doesn't want everyone writing in it and messing it up (that is kind of the idea).

I love the guestbookstore ones also and like that people can write alittle bit more then just their name. I believe Lynn had a book from here so you might want to check hers out. Someone on these boards also made their own using the same concept (can't remember who it it right now). I

love to scrapbook so I have purchased a few things and am going to do a mock up of a few pages myself. This way I can personalize it for Disney. I am planning on using an 8x8 book and slipping the pages in clear sheets that go with the book (I saw a book at my local craft store that I liked). I would only do one side per sheet - as opposed to the guestbookstore ones that are two sides - less questions - but I really love the idea of adding the peoples pictures from the wedding.

Let us know what you decide.

Linda

You could try blurb.com. That is where I am making my book. It looks more like a coffee table book. I got the idea from Carrrie (lurkyloo) who's book came out beautifully. I believe there is a picutre of it in her PJ or TR, I can't remember. Maybe she will come along and show you...

i used guestbook store.com. i really liked it and so did my guests. i can only find one pic...

i liked the pages because people wrote all different, creative responses that are so funny! i bought acid free markers for them to use and some people got quite creative and drew tons of pics!

The Shutterfly books look really nice when they come in the mail. I was impressed with the quality of the printing and the cover.

We put out a large book with acid free pages, some markers and things that would be "safe" for the book, and told everyone to go crazy. It still makes me laugh to look through it. Some people got really creative, and some people did additional pages as the night went on.

It also gave Mickey and Goofy a place to sign our guestbook after they were done dancing with everyone.

This is probably a strange question, but when did you get youre guests to fill in thier page? Did they just go up to the table when they got a minute? did you tell them the book is there?

I love the idea but the only way that I can think all my guests will fill it in (as it takes some time) is if I put a sheet at thier seat.

If you make a book on Blurb, you can select a template that has pages with lines on it for people to write on. They may even have wedding guest book pages in their templates. I just used the standard photo templates though cuz I didn't want lines.

The way we got people to sign it was to have it out on a table right by the door so that people would see it when they came in. At the end of the reception, my MIL then carried it around to every guest and forced them to sign it if they hadn't :lmao:

I made a shutterfly book that I plan on using at our VR.....

the first page " The magic began twenty years ago...."
pagegb2.jpg

then I used several pages of disney like quotes and added pictures/collages from different trips and years.....

then the back cover .... I used a verse from our wedding ceremony

I will have markers for the guests to sign with. It will be a coffee table book.... good luck

Oh, they're all so pretty! I forgot about the guest book.... Opps!:headache:

i had my cousin in charge of the guest book. she went around handing pages out and markers and she gathered them for me at the end of the reception and put them back into the book. it was the only way i thought it would get done and it worked beautifully.

I used American Crafts' Slick Writers. They come in three point sizes and five or six colors (they used to come in a lot more colors, and you can sometimes find those online). They are acid-free, archival quality and won't bleed through the pages.

You can get them at Scrapbooking stores and websites. :)
