Like tkbbmom, I started receiving a similar popup last night. It tells me to hurry and link my tickets so I can customize my bands for my upcoming trip (January--not the upcoming testing period). It also mentioned FP+ in some way; can't remember exactly. I didn't pay much attention. 1) I'm not sure I want magic bands until I know is going on and 2) I have no trust in Disney IT.

I'm thinking that roll out is just around the corner.

Asking for forgiveness of my stupidity in this mess --- but I'm so confused about the Magicbands+ and FP+ even after reading posts. So, we are going in November --- starting last week I began getting a pop-up window on the My Disney Experience that I needed to select MagicBands and FP+.

Yup roll out gonna happen after this big test in Sept time frame omho

This is the popup that allows you to customize your MagicBands and pick FP+. There was a popup for a couple weeks before this, that said something about MyMagic is coming, link your tickets, etc... If you have the popup linked below, I'd go ahead and customize your MagicBands and pick FP+ if you have tickets.

How far in advance did your magic bands arrive? On my account page, I get the selection "link magic band or card". It says my reservation is already linked. Still not sure if we will get magic bands or not. Leaving in 15 days.

I arrive on Aug 24, and I rec'd my band today (July 26).
I'm not really thrilled with how wide the band is, especially for humid August. I'm thinking of wearing it on my crossbody strap. I'll give it a try, just not sure if I'd get used to it.

Are you staying at a certain hotel? We arrive on Aug 21st, then on the cruise for 3. Days then back at WDW from Aug 25-Sept 1. I would love to have the bands for our stay, as my Autistic son talks about then constantly.

You have to be at one of the four test resorts. That's the contemporary, animal kingdom lodge, pop, or yacht club.

Then log into your MY Disney Experience and see if you are one of the test groups. It will give you the option to customize your bands and pick Fastpasses if you are.

Yes, I received my pink magicband with my name on it today. Already have 10 out of 14 days of my Fastpasses reserved. Haven't decided what I want to do my last few days!

Dang and yippee , I guess. We too are a bit nerdy and really liked the test of FP+ from last Sept. My problem is that I only paid for the obligatory 2 days park tickets for our Sept. trip, because not all members of our party will be there the entire time. I generally add days after arriving on individual tickets to save money. Now, I will be out 7 days of FP+ IF they even let us do the 2 days I have paid for on our MYW package. Grrrr, I really want them for the entire time, so I guess I better call up and see if it isn't too late to increase my tickets now. 48 days until our trip. (my ticker is off).

I have a similar problem. We have APs that expire mid way thru trip, so I can only book FPs for part of our trip. I have to wait till our APs expire and new one activated while there to book rest of FPs. They have to recognize renewal vouchers for AP holders. I'm sure I won't be the only one who's AP expires mid trip

I am doing a split stay between YC & BC (only staying one night at the YC). I was able to pick FP+ and customize bands for the whole 8 night trip. I wasn't expecting to be part of this, so it was a really fantastic surprise. I'm so excited!

So just received a special delivery from disney A package in the mail saying we have been selected for the fp+ trial Aug 12! So my question is, how many people are going to be trying this trial out? I have a 2 year old and don't want to deal with system kinks. I'm glad to get the chance, but a little worried.

4 resorts are involved in August test. You may opt out I think if you want to.

I totally agree...I purchased my first AP vouchers in March and we can not link them to MDE until they are activated...I kind of think this is going to discourage new Annual Passes and possible renewals also.

But only about 80% accept, so that on average we should expect about 800 people per day in across the entire resort. We have customized our bands, and received them in the mail, and added our FP+ attractions for our whole stay. We are excited

It's hard to imagine that there will only be 1000 testers. There are just over 5,000 rooms at the 4 participating resorts - that would be a minimum of 10,000 if you only figure 2 per room and 5,000 guests if you even give them the possibility of only 1/2 occupancy. Wonder if it could possibly be that low? - I believe it was one of our DIS CMs who confirmed there were approx 1000 testers in the smaller test done earlier with only 1 or 2 small resorts.
