FWIW, the bus drivers have told the DVC sales people that the bands and the rapid fill mugs will be rolled out by the end of August. LOL!! I had a difficult time keeping a straight face.

I don't find that hard to believe.. Some kind of band roll out will be done shorty after this last test.. IMHO

I talked to a cm today not that what they say means much but she said the system should be pretty much rolled out before the end of the year. She also said that 40 days before your stay the system will let you know if your elegible for future testing.
I'm taking this with a grain of salt, I've learned from the dis that cm info can b hit or miss
Can anyone tell me how long it took for the customized magicbands to ship/arrive after you ordered them online?
Also...Does anyone have any pictures of their customized band they can post??
So is 40 days the current time frame from trip date that you would expect to be able to customize magic bands or has anyone seen it at the 60 day mark when you are able to check in online?
I understand that 40 days may be the notification of testing eligibility in the august time frame but just wondering how far in advance you can customize the bands.
I am part of the August test and I am so excited!! My magic bands arrived on Friday and the email invite to participate came today. My question is this - I am staying at AoA on the first part of my trip then switching to CR. Do I have to check in at CR before I can use my magic bands? I'm not sure how that works so want to plan according if I need to stop at CR before heading to MK
We check into the CR on Aug 25.

I'm not sure if this is the right thread for my question, but thought I would try.
I saw a different thread this morning http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3148572 about September guests getting FP+ access from the MDE website. So I checked our reservation online (we have a one night room only stay on 8/31 at Pop Century and then a MYW stay from 9/1-9/8 at BWI under different reservation numbers) and sure enough the system is letting me make FP+ reservations for 9/1-9/8. In addition, I am being given the opportunity to customize magic bands under the Pop Century reservation, despite no tickets being associated with that one.
I called Disney to ask if we are now part of tester program or if we are just part of actual live program. Unfortunately, the CM I spoke with sounded pretty clueless. After a lot of what sounded like typing at his terminal, he said the program is not live and if we did not receive an official email invitation to participate in the test (we have not) any FP+ reservation we make in the system will be blanked out.
Does anyone have any insight as to what is going on?![]()
