Anyone want to take a stab at how much they think the buy in for Poly will be?? And what a stay there might be like points wise?

My guess for points is that it will be most similar to BLT. But I'm new to everything and I have no idea! :) I just am excited thinking about it!!!:)

I would probably assume everything would be closer to VGF than BLT.

You are probably right... I just have wishful thinking, haha :)

do you happen to remember the initial buy in before prices went up for the VGF? I ignored those emails back then so I wasn't tempted.

My guess is that it will be close to $180/point and the point requirements will be same/slightly HIGHER than VGF - by the time Poly DVC opens Disney will be way down on inventory with no incentive to lower the price for a small resort.

I'm up for this game. ;)

$160 per point with a $10 pp "special" offer for the first six months, then remaining steady at $160 pp. If they attempt to establish any sort of "auto-stay" option--a guaranteed week or the like--I'd expect the prices for those to be $10-$15 pp higher.

18/24 pts (weekdays/weekends) for off season, 32/39 pts (weedays/weekends) during peak season, both sets of figures for a studio only.

:rolleyes1

I'm with sleepydog- I anticipate they will increase VGF to $160 shortly before they start selling Poly and then start the Poly out at $150 to drive sales there- then bump Poly up to equivalent with VGF fairly quickly.

I expect looking at the point chart will make my eyes bleed. Seems that DVC has decided that point chart inflation is more tolerable to new buyers than price-per-point inflation. Probably they're right.

Also, point chart inflation helps them sell points to existing members, in that if points per stay were lower at the newer resorts, the existing members wouldn't feel the "I need more points" pressure.

This, of course, is why the members whose first choice is OKW are so lucky. Disney really did those folks a favor. I don't expect them to repeat it with new construction, especially at a high-demand new location.

Members could buy VGF for $145 per point before it went on sale to then general public.

I predict sales will start in one year @ $175pp and the room point cost per night will be a little lower than VGF, but higher than BLT.

I think the bungalows over the water will be around 100 points per night

If they go with bungalows over the water, expect those points to be high like DVC Dude suggested. And the theme park view studios (if all the rest are studios like I heard) to be high cost studios as well. Garden view should be less. Since they are taking over Tahiti and another building.
