We are touching down in Orlando at 8:00 p.m. on a Monday evening. We are staying at Bay Lake Tower so can take advantage of extended hours at Epcot. We hoped to hustle over to Epcot, directly from the airport, to take part in the extended hours at Epcot for as long as possible. Does anyone know if we can join the 6:00 p.m. Guardians of the Galaxy virtual queue before we arrive at Disney World. We will have checked in online and probably have a room number, just not gone to the room yet. Also, we would have to try to join the virtual queue while in-flight. Has anyone ever had this experience with this and/or had luck being able to access the virtual queue while "offsite"?

Thank you!

I don't have any experience with the 6pm VQ so won't touch that question. But an option coule be, since you'll have a park reservation for Epcot, why not try for the 7am VQ? You don't have to tap into the park for that one and I haven't experienced being denied entry for being late. I am often 10 hours later on my VQ return time and they let me on.

In June, we attempted to get the after-hours Guardians and it was gone instantly. As you can imagine, there are very few slots for that attraction and I think every deluxe guest going to Epcot is trying for it.

Maybe it is easier now, but I expect it is still a challenge.

So long as you are deluxe guest and have a ticket valid for Epcot you are supposed to be able to book it from anywhere at 6 p.m.

The 2 p.m. drop is much, much easier, but you have to have entered the park for that one.

Epcot is a big park, so you can't do much in the two hours. Be strategic on how you plan to use your time. Also, some of the attractions, like Remy, may be backed up with the non-after hours crowd still in line.

We were about 5 hours late for our vq time and it was no problem. Try for the 7. I was able to snag a 7am and 6 pm last week. I actually snagged the 6 while my family was on it. We were called back at 830. Is there someone at home that could do the 6 for you?

Great advice, thank you everyone. I would not have thought of that.
I would try at 7AM and if unsuccessful try again at 1 PM, but keep in mind that if you get a VQ at either of those times it will expire whenever Epcot closes, so probably at 9 PM, and if your plane actually lands at 8 PM and you don’t make to into Epcot until after 9, that VQ is worthless. Therefore, regardless of success or not at 7 or 1, I’d try at 6 PM as well, because that VQ will allow you to enter the line up until the end of DEEH. Go for it - GotG is a great ride!

You have to be tapped into Epcot for the 1 pm drop. So that’s not going to work for poster arriving at 8pm. You don’t have to be at Epcot for 6 pm Extended hours queue, so try for one then.

This is correct. Sorry I forgot the restriction at 1 PM. The point is, go for it whenever you’re eligible!
