I forgot to tell you all. Mark went to the cardiologist yesterday to see when he could schedule the angioplasty. As you all know, I convinced him (along with his mother and his boss NOT to go to Vegas and to get the procedure done). Well, they want him to heal longer from his surgery because of the blood thinner he will be put on before/after (?) surgery, so he is not having the angioplasty done until September 3--the Friday before Labor Day and TWO WEEKS prior to our vacation. I'm not really happy about it, but this is what the cardiologist wants.

Wow, that is a bit late! I'll keep my fingers crossed everything works out well and you'll be able to have a blast at WDW!

I get to choose because well....let's just say she and I don't share the same taste. In any event, I saw this and called her and told her I found my Christmas present and she asked me what it was, etc. and she told me to get it now so I could have it for our trip. Here it is--I absolutely LOVE it:

Now, that's what I call a nice present! And then to get it now so you can use it on your trip! Your boss really knows how to treat you right!

We have a lot of packing to do today, but 99% not of the Disney kind. BOO!

The cardiologist probably just wants to be sure that Mark is totally healed before they do the procedure. It's better that they are cautious though, right? I'm sure that you're nervous but you know, I'm thinking he will be good to go for your vacation. My old boss had to have that done and he would be on the golf course within a week.

Yep, I found it on the Disney shopping website. The minute I saw Dumbo on it I knew I had to have it.

The cardiologist knows we leave two weeks after the procedure and he said Mark will be fine. I told him, WITH OR WITHOUT HIM, I'm getting on that plane on the 17th!

I think I'll use it the last two days of the trip when we won't be at the parks until midnight or later; and I'll use it the whole time on Marco Island.

Sophia, you are right. He said something about having to be on blood thinners after the heart procedure and there is always a risk of a problem with the spine and that is why they want him healed from this first. I just hope the doctor is right and he'll be ready to go on the 17th (at least it is Labor Day weekend when he is having it done and he'll have three days to rest for sure).

If I could, I would retire tomorrow. However, I have been with my boss for 34 years and he is now 84. When I had my 35th anniversary at the firm earlier this month, he asked me if I could handle another five years which would make him 89! He told me he was retiring at 65, then it was 70, then it was 75 and then we just stopped talkingj about it. I think I'm stuck until he finally hangs it up.

Sorry to hear that Mark has to have the surgery early, I know you were counting on after Disney, but it will still be ok and you can take Disney at a nice slow relaxed pace and it will do Mark the world of good when you go, being at the most Happiest Place on Earth

I took Mark to dinner...first night he really had an appetite as his swallowing is much better. We went to Big Bowl which is at the Streets of Woodfield, across from Woodfield Mall. Well, since we were there, I said let's go to the Mall and go to the Disney Store. This is the ONLY reason I will go to Woodfield as I really HATE this mall. Well, I found these great t-shirts that were 2 for $24.00. Of course they don't have 3X for Mark so he got nothing. But I got a shirt for me (and I got one for someone else but I can't post a picture of it or who it is for in case she is lurking ). Here's my new t-shirt:
