Grumpy and his wife and possibly the DIS Food Porn Queen are going to Disney

I'm glad you didn't have pneumonia. What antibiotics did she give you? If you start getting nauseated from the vicodin, you can take an over the counter motion sickness med and it will help. Pain meds make me soooooo sick that without nausea meds I would rather hurt .

I'm glad you don't have pneumonia and that you can finally start feeling better! :cool1:

:cool1: for not having pnemonia and getting some medicine that will actually help. hope it makes you feel better fast!

I'm glad its not too serious and that you got the meds you need to get rid of it. Feel better soon

Thank goodness, you'll be feeling some relief soon!

Glad Mark is feeling good enough to go back to work. :)

Have been aol, so going back to catch up the last couple of days.

I still don't feel great, but I can feel it starting to break up.

I'm so glad you finally got a scrip for the cough/pain!!! Serioulsy, Kathy, this has been hanging around for way too long!! You need to be well, and strong for your trip

IN LESS THAN 2 MONTHS!!!!:banana::banana:

My wonderful doctor told me I should start feeling better in 48 hours after starting the meds, so by this time tomorrow night I hope to report that I'm almost back to normal. Well, healthwise -- normal, because I am FAR from normal. :rotfl:

Thanks for the update, Kathy! :goodvibes

I am glad you finally got some antibiotics to take care of your cough! This has been going on FAR too long! Even more glad it's not pneumonia!
Take it easy and get well SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, Karin. I was in bed very early last night. I've got a load of laundry in the machine now and after it is done, back to bed.

Glad your doc has a solution for your sickness. I'm glad it wasn't pneumonia!!!!

NOW GET BETTER!!!!!! :hippie:

YES, SIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kathy, that is great news you do not have walking pne. Can't spell it so I won't try!

Hopefully that pain killer will give you some relief, sore ribs are hard to deal with since even breathing hurts!

The ribs are sometimes the worse of it; it is so hard to sleep.

I am on Zpac...you take two the first night and then one for four more nights. I've not taken the vicodin yet as I'd rather continue the cough syrup so I can sleep at night. Once I'm done with the antibiotic, if my ribs aren't better, I'll go on the vicodin and stop the cough medicine.

I'm so glad you got some meds! Relief is on it's way! :goodvibes

Thanks, Brooke.

Glad the DOc was able to give you something. Hope you are better asap!

Thanks, Mary. I'm so glad to see that Avery is feeling better. I can't believe what she ended up being diagnosed with.

Thank you. I think by tomorrow I'll be more chipper.

I hope so too...two weeks of this is enough.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

Thank you, Sophia. And I did look for the t-shirt, but no luck. We are going to a different mall this weekend and I will look again.

I'm glad its not too serious and that you got the meds you need to get rid of it. Feel better soon

Thanks, Stefy. I can't believe what happened to your HDTV! :scared1:

Good morning, Kathy! Hope you are feeing better today.:goodvibes

Thank you, Christine.

Well, with being sick, I've been crabby and depressed. Then it dawned on me about 6 tonight that it is 57 days until our vacation! For those of you who DIDN'T skim and read from the beginning, you know that Mark is 57. So I thought this was a good omen that I thought of counting my days today and it being the same number as Grumpy. So I started throwing a few things in the suitcase to cheer me up more. Here are a few items I threw in there today.

The first item darling Grumpy brought home from work (I love these because they are disposable):

Then these are some of the items I picked up to pass out to little girls and boys who might need a "pick me up" while waiting in a long line for an attraction:

You are so sweet for picking up things for little ones!! That will certainly add a magical moment for those lucky kids! (and I bet their parents will LOVE the new distraction/toy/gift!) :thumbsup2

Hope the bit of packing did cheer you up! Are you feeling any better yet?

Hi Kathy,

Are you feeling any better today?

Packing always cheers me up. I can't believe how close our trip is already. Where did the time go?

I'm actually a little jealous, Kathy, that you get to pack, and it really IS packing! My trip stuff goes into my little pile, which then goes into a box, which is in turn in another pile! So, I can't really pack until I get to my parent's house. But, JUST like you, I throw a little something in that little black bag of mine, and it gets me prety revved up, just knowing it can REALLY be packed in about 1 month!!!!

I am so hoping you can shake this and feell completely better in 57 days!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, guys, I went to the doctor this morning. I have a bacterial infection (gee, I could have told her that) and NO PNEUMONIA. She gave me an antibiotic which should kick in within 48 hours and also vicodin for the pain of my ribs. She said I should feel relief in 48 hours for the infection.

Now that it's 48 hours, how are you feeling? I have kept both of you in my prayers (I believe in the power of prayer). Vicodin is such a mixed blessing for me; it helps with the pain, but it sure does make me nauseous.;)

I loved looking at your pictures! Disney world is the best place to let out your inner child, that's what I say!:woohoo:

Hey Kathy...

Hope after a good nights sleep(you did get one right?) that you are feeling better! We always bring ponchos to WDW. I get them for $.99 at Ocean State Job Lot. It sure beats the $8 at the parks! How sweet of you to bring stuff for the kids!!!! :goodvibes

I really miss traveling with "little" kids (well, my kids too). I just like to try to add a little extra magic if I can. Getting a little better...today I feel human.
Hi Kathy,

Are you feeling any better today?

A little better each day. I know...where did the time go? It's funny, I want time to slow down because of my age, but I always want it to speed up for Disney.

Liesa, I can imagine how much "packing" you guys have to do. How many days until you reach your parent's house? Any news on dad today?

Now that it's 48 hours, how are you feeling? I have kept both of you in my prayers (I believe in the power of prayer). Vicodin is such a mixed blessing for me; it helps with the pain, but it sure does make me nauseous.;)

Hi, friend. Today I feel human; I woke up coughing, but I've only coughed a couple of times since then. The ribs, however, are still killing me. I decided to continue the cough syrup with codine with my antibiotic and NOT start the vicodin (I can't take the cough syrup and the vicodin together) until after I finished my antibiotic and cough syrup (which will be Sunday night). I'd rather get rid of the infection and cough and then deal with the ribs (Mark wrapped me nice and tight in an ACE bandage thing and it helps keep it tight when I cough.

I loved looking at your pictures! Disney world is the best place to let out your inner child, that's what I say!:woohoo:

Welcome; I'm so glad you enjoyed my pictures. Thanks for joining in my report.

I slept much better last night...well, until the storms approached. Mark sells to dollar stores so he always has those in stock! We have the yellow Mickey ones from the parks, but they are SO HOT to wear, that I prefer the disposable ones.

I love little ones and enjoy doing it. :) I've already forewarned my husband that we better win the lotto because once grandchildren come (and I'm NOT in any hurry for that), I am going to spoil them rotten.

I forgot to tell you all. Mark went to the cardiologist yesterday to see when he could schedule the angioplasty. As you all know, I convinced him (along with his mother and his boss NOT to go to Vegas and to get the procedure done). Well, they want him to heal longer from his surgery because of the blood thinner he will be put on before/after (?) surgery, so he is not having the angioplasty done until September 3--the Friday before Labor Day and TWO WEEKS prior to our vacation. I'm not really happy about it, but this is what the cardiologist wants.

I cannot believe I forgot to share this with all of you. My boss (who I have worked for 35 years for) and his wife always get me something for Christmas and my birthday. I get to choose because well....let's just say she and I don't share the same taste. In any event, I saw this and called her and told her I found my Christmas present and she asked me what it was, etc. and she told me to get it now so I could have it for our trip. Here it is--I absolutely LOVE it:
