Has it ever occurred to anyone that six more weeks of winter is an early spring?
In six weeks it will be March 14th. Here, in PA, we'll be mighty happy for a spring day in mid-March. Typically we have to wait til April to see any springtime.
It's like whoever wrote that dopey rule didn't live in PA (which doesn't make sense) or was just messing with us.

It depends what part of PA you live in. Winter ends here at the end of February. We usually have a problem in March trying to mow while the ground is soaked.

This is a huge deal in the town - they have an all day festival with bands, etc.
The Canadian groundhog (Wiarton Willie I believe) didn't see his shadow. I'm really hoping he was right, I can't take much more of the weather we've been having (2 storms with about 15' of snow each this winter).
