Groot in It's a Small World Tokyo

I just watched the video of Groot and various Marvel characters taking over It's a Small World Tokyo...it is so cool. We need this at Disneyland California!

Thor in the rainforest scene scene...etc but I remember how upset the online community got when they added Disney characters...so they may not want to deal with that again

SM is down until the 70th basically so I hope we see Moana, a Groot and a few other characters added. As long as its tasteful

Personally I am relieved this is only temporary. I would not want this to be permanent in ANY version of Small World.

I agree. I am usually up for some temporary fun, but I wouldn't want it to be done permanently nor at DL. Really, the Marvel characters don't really fit in. I do not mind the inclusion of the Disney characters that they did a while back though.

As Walt said the park will never be finished and new characters being added if done right would be fine....I agree I don't need this who groot thing but 1-3 sure why not. It won't hurt the ride

I was not against additional Disney Characters. Do not assume. Yes Walt said the park would not be finished. Marvel does not belong in ISW. The Marvel characters fight and engage in violence. ISW is about the brotherhood of man and peace. Marvel can stay in Avengers Campus. Think about the theming.

There are plenty of Disney characters to add like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Daisy, Snow White and others.

Yeah, not that there's anything wrong with the "action characters" - I love many of them, but IASW is something differentl. I love the Haunted Mansion too, but references to it don't belong in IASW either.

That means Mulan is out...she killed people.

This is where for me it gets silly...these are fake characters. Groot isn't real and him or Thor on the ride does not push violence

Peace sometimes can only come from war, so to me hero's fighting to keep the world peaceful are fine on the ride.

I understand you but this attraction should be not messed with. Yes they are fake. Marvel does not belong in ISW. Mulan yes perhaps.
Marvel no. ISW is iconic. Dont Marvelize it.

It's not really violence - it's "action" as Stan Lee himself would have called it. Marvel characters have a somewhat different tone thatn Mulan, though you are not wrong - she fought a war. For me, it's not so much the action, but the context. I suppose a Marvel inclusion would be okay if they were pretty virtuous, so maybe Cap or someone like that. Then again, if you read the comics, they have dirtied up their characters so much that none of them are really respectable anymore. They like to work in the morally gray areas. That's not something I would bring to It's A Small World.

I agree that it should only be a temporary addition...and my niece really loved seeing the different characters on the ride. It took me a bit to enjoy the changes, so definitely only a temp thing if at all. Just enjoyed seeing the difference Groots I guess.

Exactly. "Action" "Violence" ISW do not tinker with it. It has worked since 1964 at the Worlds Fair and since 1966 at Disneyland...leave it alone..add some traditional Disney Characters. Leave Marvel at DCA. Marvel's content and characters do not belong in ISW.

I like the characters in their country of origin like Alice and Peter Pan in England, etc.and their themed areas because that works but to add characters,especially Marvel ones, just seems gratuitous. And you all know me, I am the biggestAvenger fan ever! But they need to stay where they are, over in AC.

I don't need all of this...like I said before would not mind a few of them like the Antman one with Groot is cute, Thor, Maybe Captain Marvel but she was in a random location so she would need to be in the USA area, and lastly Miss Marvel I would not mind

The rest are fine but not needed
