grocerygame.com?

I did the trial for 4 weeks for $1.

You log onto the site to see the weekly lists. For a sale that starts on Sunday, I got the list the following Tuesday. I then had Tuesday thru Saturday to hit the store.

The list is categorized by color. You go over the list and decide what you need and don't need. If the color is green (I think), it means it's a GREAT price and you should stock up. If it wasn't green or FREE, don't buy it unless you really need it.

The concept is good, but I found the following:

The price may be a GREAT price for that store, but not neccessarily a great price for the area. Something like Skippy Peanut Butter may register at a great price for 1.99 at Store A, but I know that Store B sometimes has it on sale for .99. So, if you shop at more than one store, you need to KNOW the general prices for the things you use a lot.

The list would refer to .75 coupons that could be doubled (or tripled in some places), but my actual coupon would be $1 (cannot be doubled) and the price just didn't end up being that great.

Some of the items on the list were just not to be found in my store.

And, although I saved a lot of money, I also bought stuff that I wouldn't normally buy, just because the list said it was a great deal.

I didn't renew, but I would reccommend a trial - it's only $1 and you can see if it works for you.

I belong, and have done very well with it.

I learned to "Stockpile" - so if that Peanut Butter is on sale, I may buy 6 jars with coupons, because I know that it wont be on sale for 12 weeks.

I agree about trying the $1.00 trial - you can also sign up for CVS and Walgreens lists - these I have done trememdously well with, and get many things for FREE or close to FREE!

Just today alone, my total before Shoppers Card and Coupons was 198.00 - my total was 122.00 - I saved 76 dollars!

At least start to read the message boards.. you do not need to join to read. You can get many hints there.

I do, and in the first six months I saved $2400 compared to the six months previously for our family of four! You end up "stock-piling" a lot of stuff when it goes way down in price - they monitor to see what the "lowest" price is and then match that time/price with a coupon - it's really good when your stores double or triple coupons. I can't tell you how many things I've gotten for FREE at Harris Teeter since I started.

I don't buy anything that we don't use (with the exception of I have tried other tp and laundry detergent - but no foods, etc...) and each week I clip my coupons, but I only clip what WE actually use. Lots of people go crazy the first couple of times and get stuff that they won't ever use because it's so cheap - no use in that. It's hard to get a good feel for it during the four week trial, unless you've been clipping coupons for a couple of months -because they do go back that far. I'd definitely give it a try - all you've got to lose is $1! :yay:
