I am sure this has been asked but who do people use for the grocery service. We are planning a new years eve dinner and such and we are wondering if it would be better to just rent a car and go to walmart superstore.

thanks

We've used Garden Grocer and have been happy with the selection and service. I hear that Wegoshop is also a good option.

I would use a service - even when we rent a car - I use garden grocer. I do not want to spend time trying to find items I want in a store I do not know. And for only $12 (fee for Garden Grocer) it is so worth it!!!

I've used WeGoShop in the past. This last trip we rented a car and went to both Publix and Walmart. Not a fan of Walmart produce, but if that's not a priority then Walmart prices are better. Personally I liked using the service better because I order exactly what I had on my list. The whole family came to Walmart and we ended up buying more than I wanted because my DH and DDs kept putting other things in the cart. And their extra items added up to more than the service charge of the grocery service.

WeGoShop will go to whatever store you want. I like using Publix because I can check their ad online before we leave and add fruit/veges on sale.

We just used Garden Grocer this week for the third time. We really like them.
I paid $12 for the delivery fee and a $5 tip.

Everytime we go to Disney we stay at the cabins at Disney's campsite and have always ordered from Garden Grocer. Last year we were there for 9 days, had 2 cabins, 12 people and ordered $600.00 worth of groceries as we had 5 teenagers with us. When we arrived, we were informed that Garden Grocer would be there within 2 hours, so we went to the pool and I received a call from a cast member at the front desk to let me know that they will help the person from Garden Grocer put away our groceries for us. I had included the tip when I ordered so we did not have to rush back. When we got back, all the groceries were put away. Now that's my type of vacation!

I am sorry, it's 12.00 I got them confused! Leave it to me to confuse everyone!:hippie:

We have used wegoshop.com 5 times in the past and are using them again for our upcoming trip. Marge Peck, the owner, is great to work with.
I like the freedom of making my own list rather than walking a "virtual aisle" at Garden Grocer. Also wegoshop does not have a minimum delivery order amount and we have always gotten a 30 minute delivery window - not a 2 hour delivery window.
Both are reputable services, I just prefer wegoshop.com.
Have a Great Trip

Rental cars around NYE are very expensive and traffic is pretty bad, so take that into account as you weigh your options.

Does the garden grocer deliver beer and wine? I cannot find anything on their website to add to my shopping list.:drinking1

Yes, but you have to specify what you want in the comment section. You also have to be at the resort when they deliver. Otherwise, they will drop off your items with bell services so you don't have to wait for delivery.

We just ordered from garden grocer for the first time. They are supposed to deliver between 3-5. what if our room is not ready yet? What wiil they do with groceries? Also if we do have our room but we are at Disneyquest will they take them to room for us?

They will not take them to your room if you are not there. They will leave it with Bell Services for you. Bell Services has large refrigerators to store perishables. When you get to your room you can call to have it delivered. Remember to tip the person who brings it to your room
