Grocery service delivery times??

Hello! We recently purchased DVC and are celebrating with a Grand Villa stay at SSR, taking some extended family with us!! Before we get there, we're spending 4 days at the Marriott Grande Vista with just myself, DH, DS(9), DD(6), DD(3), DS(1). Like so many of you, we don't want to waste any time at the grocery, and I've been reading your reviews about Wegoshop.com and gardengrocer.com. How specific are the delivery times for these services? I see some people expecting their order upon check-in. Does the hotel accept these on your behalf? And what is the normal window time for a delivery? Thanks so much for your help!

I can't speak of gardengrocier, but with Wegoshop should be able to work with you a bit...

They will give you an estimate when you place your order based on your check-in time... I don't know that there's a schedule per se, but they try to stay somewhat efficient by making as few as runs as possible when driving between WDW and the grocery stores. (Especially with gas prices being as high as they are..)

If you have nationwide coverage on your cell, give them your cell phone number. They can also call you when they are leaving the grocery store.

Thanks! I'll probably go with wegoshop, and will just give them a call beforehand to make sure we can work something out with our agenda/arrival plans. We'll only have about 2 hours during the day, and won't be back to our room until late night that first day, to accept a delivery. Hopefully it can work out, and make my first day there more enjoyable without grocery shopping!

we used we go shop and groceries were not delivered until day after arrival, and that was after several angry phone calls and our call was not returned until the morning after! gardengrocer actually called us as we were landing at 11 pm to tell us he was at our resort.We asked that they be left with bell services since we would not be there for at least an hour. everything arrived at our room perfect.

I had no problem with wegoshop. I used them for the first time on our last trip. We asked that the groceries be delivered at 4:00. They showed up on time. I will use them again.

ariel, did wegoshop tell you what the problem was? I'm sorry to hear that happened to you! Since I'm travelling with little ones, I know that not having the groceries you expected at a certain time could be a pain!
