Hi! Leaving for WDW on 5/24. Staying at All Star Music Resort and are not renting a car. Is there any small grocery store or convenience store on the WDW property where I can purchase snacks, juice, soda, etc? I'm hoping to get a refrigerator and would like some stuff on hand for my DH and 2 DDs (5 & 9). Thanks for any help you can give.

You can buy things like that at all the Disney Resort Shops but you will pay more. I would definatly stop at a grocery store on the way in!

The only store that I can think of is the one in the Crossroads shopping center.
It is located at the end of Hotel Plaza Blvd. HPB is across the street from DD.

The grocery store at Crossroads is Goodings. I don't think you can get WDW transportation there but here are a few more ideas:

1. I know a few people who have used NetGrocer and had stuff shipped to their resort--the box was waiting for them when they checked in.

2. There is a convenience store at the Gas Station in WDW, I think it is an Exxon. I hear the prices are much more resonable here than at the resorts.

3. I'm not sure what transporation you are using from the airport. But Tiffany Town Car takes their passengers to Goodings for a 1/2 hour shopping stop before they take them to their resort. The extra stop is free but you have to request it when you make your reservation.

Hope this helps!!

I agree with Tiffany as a choice of transfer vs Mears.

With a family of 4, it is actually CHEAPER to use the coupon from the Tiffany website than it is to take a shuttle bus.

Not only is it cheaper, it is a direct route to your accomodations---no jostling kids around, no waiting for other people to hop on the shuttle, no waiting to get to your resort (could be the pits if yours is the last stop). I figure by using Tiffany, we will save at LEAST 2 hours of *headache* time, plus allow us the grocery stop.

You have all been so helpful! We've decided to go with Tiffany (I have my coupon all ready), with a stop at the grocery store ). My last question on this topic (I think) - how far in advance should we book the car? I don't want to do it too early & have them "lose" the ressie, but I don't want to wait too long and be stuck without a car, or have to wait at the airport for one that will not be available for "X" amount of time. What do you think?

We are flying in May 23rd, and I emailed Tiffany last friday--5/4 and got an email response the next day---I did email back requesting Publix stop since there was no room on the order form. Judging from the confirmation number, we were pickup #4 for that day : )
