Do you ever have groceries delivered to your Villa- who do you use, what does it cost, and what do you get? Thinking about doing this to save time, although we are driving.

I am sold on wegoshop.com

I don't remember the fee, but it seemed reasonable.

They will shop wherever you request.

HTH!!!

WeGoShop.com rates below ...

Shop and Delivery Rates: Grocery total up to $100.00 = $20.00 shop & delivery fee.
Shop and Delivery Rates: Grocery total between $100.00 - $200.00 = $25.00 shop & delivery fee.
Shop and Delivery Rates: Grocery total between $200.00 - $300.00 = $35.00 shop & delivery fee.
Shop and Delivery Rates: Grocery total over $300.00 = 12% of total grocery bill.

You can order food right from the DVC you are staying at with the grocery list you got as a member or I guess there is one on DVC website. There is no charge. Everything really comes right from the general store at your DVC.

I just want to point out that there are grocery lists posted on the member website for each resort. Of course, the list is somewhat restrictive in terms of items offerred and brands. But, it can be usefull, albeit more expensive.

We plan on using the list for our family reunion trip this coming Thanksgiving.

Does anyone know if Disney will deliver to the room and refridgerate the necessary items ??

Huge wegoshop.com fan here - we used 'em for the first time this past July, and couldn't be more pleased. There is the aforementioned fee, but seeing them come up to our rooms, coolers and bags in hand, and knowing we didn't have to lift a finger - not bad. As another poster stated, they'll shop wherever you like (I'd steer 'em toward Publix for decent prices).

Disney does charge $5 for their own delivery service. They deliver after 5 PM, and they will store perishables in the refrigerator. Their selection is limited.

I have done this a number of times. They put the things right in the refrig for you if you are not there. They deliver on arrival day and like I said before it comes right from the general store. One word of caution-be careful what you order and how you order it. I ordered water once thinking they were the size like a pint and half that we all carry around with us. They were much larger-I had enough water to fill the jacuzzi. The same goes for fruit etc. be very specific. They may charge for the service like the poster above says, I never noticed. I just pay the bill aloong with all my other charges, so it could be a $5.00 charge, probably a tip for the person that delivers it. ??

Dreamfinder2,

thank you for your reply. Does Disney let themselves in to your room if you are not there ?? I just want to know if we can be at the parks, and not worry about the food.

Never mind my last post. PA@OKW95 answered my question while I was typing it away.

Thank you PA@OKW95

We used netgrocer.com last summer and are using them again next week. We found them to be pretty reasonable as far as price and delivery fees. Only problem is that they don't deliver on Sundays. So we have to wait until Monday for our stuff to be delivered. Also, since we have already paid, via our MC, we don't actually have to be there when it is delivered. My understanding is that you have to be there to accept delivery and pay with wegoshop.com, otherwise we would have used them.

Another vote for netgrocer.com. Used them for a previous trip and the box was waiting for us when we checked in. I timed it so that it would arrive the day before, or the day of, our arrival at the resort. The shipping cost was very reasonable. They have a huge variety of items available.

What happened to the rates at wegoshop??????

When I looked into this a month or two ago, it was a $12.50 delivery fee (I think for up to $125). Those are big jumps in prices, then to add a tip after that. Wow.

Understandable, considering what is happening with gasoline prices............ no?

with wegoshop.com - do they schedule a specific time for delivery, or will someone let them in? We wouldn't want to be waiting all day for them to come when there's fun to be had!

I hadn't noticed the price jump for wegoshop either. I was planning on using them thinking the $12.50 fee was very reasonable. $20 seems a substantial jump in price, even if you throw in gas. I wonder if this is a supply and demand thing...if they are having really good business.

May have to bite the bullet and just fax and stop at Albertson's.

Wegoshop is good for WDW resorts and Vero, but doesn't serve South Carolina (ergo, HH) :( . We used netgrocer years ago for a delivery at BWV, and were happy (scheduled delivery for the day before we arrived, so their box was brought right up to our room at check in), albeit they only handle packaged goods, so one still has to plan a stop at a grocery store for anything fresh or frozen.

I double checked the prices because they seemed high.

These are the prices for WDW Resorts

Shop and Delivery Rates:
Grocery total up to $100.00 = $15.00 shop & delivery fee.
Grocery total between $100.00 - $200.00 = $20.00 shop & delivery fee.

Grocery total over $300.00 = 12% of total grocery bill.

I just checked again...(Sun 12:05est)
