Groceries at SSR?

I'll be taking my first trip home in March to SSR... going solo and staying in a studio. Can't wait! :yay:

I have a question about purchasing groceries. It doesn't really seem worthwhile to use a service like gardengrocer.com, though I suppose I could do that. Since it's just me, I was thinking that maybe I could just buy what I needed at the general store. What types of things do they sell and how are the prices?

We just returned from SSR this weekend. We were there for the Expedition Everest DVC preview, what a great time. Anyway, the Artist's Pallette offers "light" grocery shopping. The basics such as bread, milk, eggs, soda and other beverages. You can also find dry goods like cereal, Entenmann's cakes and cookies. The refridgerated section has frozen prepared meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner options. You can also find lunch meats. The selection is not that bad, but it could be better.
The prices are not that bad when you factor in the cost of getting to the grocery store and the time spent. If you plan eating every meal in your room, than a trip to the grocery may be what you need. If you only want to supplement a few meals in your room, than SSR will do.
If you are using a private car service to get from the airport to SSR, they usually give you 30 minutes at a grocery store.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
