groceries at BCV

My family and I are staying at the BCV at the end of January and I am wondering how hard it is going to be to shop for groceries. I did not plan on getting a rental car, so I am hoping there is a grocery store within walking distance. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks.

Are you flying into Orlando? If so, several limo services (including one who sponsors this board) will give you a short stop at a grocery store on the way in from the airport, for no extra charge.

Yes, we are flying in. I have 9 people in our party - can we get a limo that large? How much would that cost? Thanks.

With a party of nine I am not sure there is a single limo van big enough BUT I would bet that with ag roup that big getting such a big limo or even dividing into two parties and two limos is going to be your best option financially compared to the shuttles or taxis...and you get the grocery stop as well....

I have a party of 8 and I use a van because they can fit up to 10 people. I think that would be your best choice too. I do use the grocery stop. Only 2 of us go into the store with our own lists. We just about run down the isles like we were in a contest. At that point we are soooo close to WDW and just can't wait to get there, but that grocery stop is a big help. I think the van is only about $15 more than a limo.

Another option is to use the town car to stop and pick up your "pre shopped for" groceries. Fax your order into

WeGoShop.com is another option that I've heard some good things about (haven't tried yet). They are a shopping service that will deliver you grocery list to you at the resort for a fee (seemed reasonable).

We also get a van from Tiffany Town Car, the cost is $95 round trip and it includes the 1/2 grocery stop. It holds up to 9 people.

The gift shop at BC also carries a few grocery items if you forget anything. There a bit more expensive so I wouldn't do all your shopping there, but it is a nice option if you have forgotten anything.

There are often 8 of us who travel together to WDW. We use FLTours one of the sponsors of this site. They are excellent to deal with and always do a grocery stop for us. Just click on the name to go to their web site.

We used these folks for the first time back in June. Talk about easy/painless! We just e-mailed our shopping list, and they delivered it to our door. The delivery charge was $10 for an order less than $100. They do their best to find the brands you want, and will even shop at the grocery store you prefer.

For us, it gave us just a little extra time at the resort. Sure was nice - kinda like room service.

I found this site a month ago and reading it sounds great. We also will be a party of 8 over Thanksgiving week and this sounds like a great way to do some shopping without going shopping. Their site did ask to have brand names, sizes and amounts available when placing the order.
I have asked our family to start getting the information ready ( making lists) for anything they feel will be needed during our trip.
I believe the cost was $10 for $100, 20 for $200, $30 to $300 then something like 17% of food bill + PLUS TIP. I may be off a little since I am doing this from memory.
I also believe this would be great during the stay to make a call and have them delivery to restock or add additional item. I wish I had found this during our earlier stays since we alway fly and almost never have a vehicle during our stay.

Grocery total between $100.00 - $200.00 = $20.00 shop & delivery fee.
Grocery total between $200.00 - $300.00 = $30.00 shop & delivery fee.
Grocery total over $300.00 = 12% of total grocery bill.
