We are definitely a poncho family. We always chuckle at the people walking toward Soarin' with soaking wet jeans and drowned rat hair! DH and I went on a ride similar to Grizzly (at Magic Mountain) in Sept. 07 and he was wet to the skin. The inside of his belt didn't even dry until 2 days later - that's how wet he was!
And he even hung it up to dry in the hotel.
We had 8 people in our group the beginning of Dec. and all of us but my dad were wearing ponchos - he chose the full rain gear. Waterproof socks, Crocs, rain pants and waterproof jacket with hat. I think he was the driest of all. Even our 4 year old wore a poncho and howled with laughter when we went spinning down the drops. I think we rode it 4 times in a row one day.
Funny off topic thingy - DS 4 was tall enough for Grizzly but not tall enough for Mulholland Madness. Both are a 42 inch ride. He was terribly disappointed about Mulholland but ecstatic about Grizzly!
ETA: DS 6 didn't like the kid-sized Disney poncho DH bought him. DS 4 wore it instead. DS 6 preferred an adult poncho for more coverage. He loves Grizzly - hates to be soaking wet!
