Yes I think that is it..is there anything like that? There is one by Kensington too
I know for sure that it didn't come in my $2.97 accessory kit at Radio Shack.

Oh, Poop!!!

Where does one get this adaptor?

I googled it and found places where you can purchase it online.

I just ordered one too. I got an offer to take $30.00 off if I signed up for an Amazon Visa. Charged it to the new visa for $49.99, receive a credit to the VISA for $30.00 which brings it to $19.00 and send in the mail in rebate for $25.00 means I'll make $5! Can't go wrong with that.

My mom just called and told me that it arrived at her house today. I have to send it there so my SO doesn't snoop!!!!

Wow! I ordered 2 of these for my 2 DSS yesterday{2 different accounts to ensure being able to get the 2 rebates} at lunchtime yesterday. They processed the orders & were on the truck delivering by midnight. They'll be here today. And this was with the free super saver shipping option, not the overnight shipping. Unreal. I love it.

Mine also shipped and is supposed to get here on the 12th. I better hurry up and find that shufle adaptor. I can't believe it doesn't come with one considering the description on Amazon. I am so mad I'll have to spend another $20 on this "cheap" gift.

Ours arrived yesterday - course it shipped from Iriving and we live in Keller Tx so that's not far to go. I was glad to see that per the packaging it's been fitted for the new nanos as well as the original.

I ordered two and noticed that Amazon had shipped each one separately, each with the super saver shipping. I wondered why they weren't shipped together but the response I got was that they needed to be in two separate shipments for me to use two rebates...whew!---Kathy

Got mine yesterday as well (or was it the day before? I've slept since then...)

Opened it this morning and checked it all out. EASY to use, works perfect with the refurbished nano, sounds good. I just ordered another.

Does this come with a remote? If my husband has it in his office, he might want to be able to change songs, etc -

Just some info for anyone who bought this for the shuffle. They dont tell you on the website or any of the technical information but it says on the box when you get it that you need an accessory adapter in order to use the shuffle which costs $20+! I am very upset that something like this wasnt mentioned on Amazon.com and have emailed them about it.

I did a search online for the adapters and they are definitely $20+ plus some places charge for shipping. I'm sure I can run out and find it somewhere but it irks me that I have to pay this addl. amount in order for my daughter to be able to use it..makes the good deal not so good in my opinion

I am curious as to how Amazon will handle it..they will probably blow me off

On Amazon under the Tech details it states that 2 dock station adapters come in the box, neither of those fit the shuffle?

No those arent what this is..this is an accessory adapter that evidently most shuffles need to connect to speakers etc...

Ok, I just read a review of this item on zdnet and they state the following...

"The box advertises that the Kensington SX 2000 works with the iPod Shuffle, but you'll have to follow the asterisk to the back of the box to find that you'll need the Accessory Adapter for iPod Shuffle #33360, which is sold separately. The Kensington site currently lists no such product, but you can use a standard 3.5mm audio cable instead. We're shocked that Kensington didn't include one in the package."

You can get the audio cable for a couple bucks and it plugs into the back of the speakers (bottom left I believe).

This is directly from the Kensington site:

System Requirements
(snip)
Also plays audio from iPod shuffle, as well as any other audio source such as MP3 players or computers through a standard 3.5mm headphone jack [cable not included].

I'm pretty sure the Radio Shack kit came with both a docking station and an audio cable. If so, I think you should be good.

Any techno folks around who can verify? :confused3

You just won't be able to plug the shuffle directly into the speaker so that it stands up and looks slick like in the picture.
Instead the shuffle will sit off to the side in it's docking station and you'll use the Y cable to connect it to the speaker (or probably connect the shuffle directly - but I think using the docking station would work best)

I believe you have to have the adapter if you want to charge the shuffle too. I was able to get one on ebay for about $13 total (Kensington one)

Just to let everyone know, I went to order one today and the price went up to $56.92!! I knew I should have ordered it the day I read the first post! Oh well! I ordered it anyway. I used the free shipping and it said it will be delivered 12/22. UGH!
