Great deal: 37% RO discount at Poly w Travelocity

Awesome news is that the 15% off worked for my room/dates. The bad news- I can't cancel and rebook because I have tickets attached  FYI to anyone who takes advantage of this KILLER deal- DO NOT BOOK TICKETS WITH THE ROOM! Make 2 separate purchases to give yourself some more flexibility.

Just wondering....can you book the tickets separate? If so, can you use the 15% off code again? I am thinking that I read in the fine print somewhere that you could only use the code once. I suppose maybe one spouse could book the room and the other book the tickets? The 15% off the tickets is a good chunk of change. I agree, though, that it is a little scary with the ticket situation. I believe they are non-refundable, and (I think) can only be used for the dates you book them for. This makes me a bit nervous...but not nervous enough to not do it and take the $409 discount. :thumbsup2

Does anyone know how to link the travelocity tickets to your reservation online at WDW?

Received an email from Travelocity today, 15% off hotels today. Think it is only available today, August 10th.

The code is GETAWAY15E.

Thank you for sharing this!! I was able to share an extra 15% for my stay at Wilderness Lodge in November. I previously had booked directly through Disney with the 30% off. Great deal! I was able to link the travelocity reservation into the disney system 10 minutes after I booked. Only issue was travelocity had my son as being 9 years old when he is actually 2 years old... I called Disney to see if they could update this, but it has to be done through travelocity. I don't know if it would matter too much normally, but since he is 2 and we would not need to pay for tickets, etc, I don't want the system to think he is older in case we link tickets into our reservation.

I thought you could cancel the room portion and keep the activities portion of the reservation. Thanks for sharing that's not the case. I feel like I have been all over the place trying to get a deal. I was finally able to book my dates last week with free dining, but I had to book 10 days and then reduce my number of nights to get it. What a headache! It's great to learn more about Travelocity, it's nice to have some options to look at when booking.

I was able to go directly into MDE and input my Travelocity reservation number into the link reservation spot and it pulled up. The first time I tried, I did get an error message but it worked on the second go. ;)

Same thing happened to me! I had a split between two hotels, so I rebooked the one without tickets. Bummer since the other hotel was the more expensive one.
I think the tickets are not eligible for the discount alone, they have to be booked with a room to see the savings.

I was able to link room but not tickets. Two calls to two different Disney agents didn't change that.
Good news is that by my November trip, My Magic Plus may be rolled out for everyone at the resorts!!!:cheer2::woohoo::cool1:
I am soooo getting a smart phone before we leave!

Does it show your park tickets? Mine only shows the resort. It had tix, but they were the ones from our old Disney ressie. I can't get the travelocity tix to link....

If we want to set up FASTPASS + from home on magic bands before we leave home, we have to have tix linked to our ressie, don't we?

I would be really surprised if you had a problem using the 15% off code twice. Definitely too good of a deal to pass up! We saved almost $1000 off disney's 30% deal! Woo hoo!! :thumbsup2

OK thanks for that, I feel a little better knowing that ticket discount wouldn't have happened.

New update on my fiasco though: I found my whole package (hotel and tickets) about $100 cheaper on CheapTickets.com (using promo code USAVE20) so I submitted to Travelocity price guarantee- and they approved it! I get that $100 refunded after my trip and a $50 travelocity credit. It was super easy to process it. Just make sure in the field that asks what website you found the better deal in, put in parenthesis the promo code to use.

Makes up for not being able to use the 15% :)

I tried this for our RR at POR, but it is more expensive on cheaptickets for some reason???

Were you able to use the 15% on travelocity? That ends up being a much better deal than the 20% at cheaptickets (for my trip anyhow!). I was 'stuck' with the 10% off on travelocity.

I did the math though and when you add in the ebates savings, my resort was 43% off the rack rate!!! who needs a pin?? LOL! yahoo!!!!!!!! :cool1:

I was able to use the 15% off and saved $409. :thumbsup2 I am not familiar with the ebates thing, so I didn't do that. I'm really frustrated trying to link my tickets to the WDW website, though. I've spoken to 3 different CM at WDW (including one at "tickets" and one at "tech support") and someone at a US call center for travelocity, but can't get the issue resolved. I just emailed Disney. I am afraid that if we can't link our tix, we'll be at a disadvantage bc we won't be able to sign up for the FASTPASS+ thing or link to magicbands if they become available for our trip. I am driving my DH absolutely nuts talking about Disney, so thank God I have Dis ppl to "vent" to...thanks for listening!

Hmmm...not sure what to do. If I book hotel only rough Travelocity, and buy tickets through undercover tourist then I really can't link them. If I don't have access to FP+. , will I be able to use FP at all?

So you can't cancel or change your trip if you book the hotel and tickets together through Travelocity? Are you just out the money for the tickets if you have to change your reservation? If you purchase trip insurance, will that cover the costs of the tickets if you have to change the trip?

I want to book through Travelocity, but I'm worried something may come up and we'd have to move our dates a little.

We don't have a lot of information about FP+ yet. There may be a period of time where they have regular FP and FP+... but I may end up losing out completely on FP+ because of the Travelocity tickets. The Travelocity tickets are actually just ticket vouchers, so until you actually use the voucher to obtain real tickets, I don't think there will be a way to link them. Undercover Tourist gives you actual tickets, right? You should be able to link them.

15% off code is GETAWAY15E

Rocky- You're right. If you book hotel with the tickets, you cannot change or cancel your reservation without losing the $$$ you paid for the tickets.
