Great deal: 37% RO discount at Poly w Travelocity

Travelocity must think I've lost my mind! I booked a room using the SUMMER10 discount yesterday morning. Then I read about the HOT13 code, so I called Travelocity that night & had them cancel my reservation. I re-booked online using the new code to save more money. Today I learned about Ebates, so I joined, cancelled my 2nd reservation, & booked a new one using the Ebates link. Kind of crazy, I know, but totally worth it. LOL

How long did it take to get a credit for the reservation you cancelled? Or had they not charged your card yet?

I'm thinking about cancelling mine and rebooking a better room for the same price and using the HOT13 code instead of the 10SUMMER code I originally used.

Same here for our travel dates. Same non-existent availability for the discount as Disney's site shows for their discount.

Just went through Travelocity to check for prices and try the HOT13 code but every WDW resort was showing as unavailable for my dates 10/2-10/6- Any way around this or are my dates just filled up?

Does anyone know if you can book a club level room on Travelocity? I'm not sure if they just don't offer the CL rooms or if they are just not available for any of the date ranges I'm looking at in December (trying to book Poly club).

This is all mine says and I'm assuming it means things that may be charged back to the room???

The link I mentioned was before you actually booked. I always look at that type of thing before getting blindsided later. I read that as the hotel may charge you fees for things Ike parking, transfers, resort fees, etc. when you check out that aren't already included in the amount Travelocity has quoted and will charge. Not as incidentals I may charge to my room.

However, I contacted Wilderness Lodge directly, like the link indicates. I was told they don't know what Travelocity includes by way of their fees in the prices. Apparently we are paying to park, take the Magical Express, and EMH, they are just hidden in the prices Disney quotes. Of course, she couldn't tell me how much they each were. She told me to contact Travelocity. So I did call. The guy (who sounded a lot like the gnome!) searched for an identical reservation and then looked at the policies for the hotel. The prices quoted do include parking, magical express, etc, no additional fees should be charged. In this case, it is a standard disclaimer that has no effect on the outcome. Some places tack on $20-30 resort fee/day. Yikes!

But it's good to find that out now, and not have a huge bill for what Disney deems to be a fair price for using their lot or busses at the end! I can only imagine...

Thinking about booking a room through Travelocity after finding this thread and pricing out some rooms. I can get a better deal through Travelocity by far. I can see the Travelocity cancellation guidelines, but what are the disney cancellation guidelines? I can't find any info on the disney site, other than cancellation fees may apply. Does someone know how far out you can cancel with disney without penalty?

Aww nuts! After seeing this it drove me crazy that I booked the other day at only 10% off. So I called Travelocity to change and was only able to change one reservation that didn't have tickets attached. Got off the phone and realized that I had originally gone through Ebates and now I had rebooked through Travelocity directly. Great! There goes my cash back!

I think I'm rushing to book this this trip and now I'm overthinking everything. Ahh, vacation!

The code does work for POR and tickets. We weren't able to get a discount from Disney bc we were going Oct. 5-12 (no FD), and we were staying at POR (ticket increase made 5% no good). Thanks to the message about this, we were able to book through Traveolcity and saved $409 (room and tix)!

Awesome news is that the 15% off worked for my room/dates. The bad news- I can't cancel and rebook because I have tickets attached FYI to anyone who takes advantage of this KILLER deal- DO NOT BOOK TICKETS WITH THE ROOM! Make 2 separate purchases to give yourself some more flexibility.
