Great deal: 37% RO discount at Poly w Travelocity

Probably a good idea to do it in email, then you can print it out (assuming they say yes :)), and take it with you. I sent a few emails last night and got responses very quickly....hopefully you will, too. Let me know how you make out....good luck!

So the response I got today from Disney was "call Travelocity with any questions". That is a terrible response!
Of course I emailed back that I already spoke with Travelocity, how they said it shouldn't be a problem, and that I needed Disney to confirm (or deny) what I've been told. Now more waiting.....

I feel your pain! That's what kept happening when I was trying to find out answers about our tix....Disney said to call Travelocity, and Travelocity told me to call Disney. After reading a few other posts, maybe this could be an option (for both of us):
Call Travelocity.
When a foreign person picks up, ask to be connected to a US call center.
When US picks up, ask for a supervisor or manager.
Ask that person to call Disney while you hold, then come back with the answer......I don't know if it would work for us, but I know other people have resolved other issues this way. Let me know how you make out.....Again, you HAVE to have some ability to fix this bc they sold you a 5 day ticket that they only made available for 3 days! What about a threat to call Better Business Bureau or something similar?

I'm going to email Travelocity and get it in writing from them that the tickets will be honored on arrival. Armed with a couple of emails, I might get the tickets two day before the printed date. It doesn't make sense for them to hold off on giving me the tix.

I just realized I had a private message from someone I private messaged last night. She said they have used travelocity tix before with no problems. I just messaged back to her about your situation and asked if she had ever heard of any problems getting it earlier than the date printed on them.
My brain is telling me we ( your family and ours :)) will be fine, but I am a very detailed oriented person, so the unknown makes me crazy! :crazy2:

I think you and I are related...twins separated at birth?! Because I will wring my hands over this until they have tickets in them.

LOL! :rotfl2: I sometimes think I have trust issues....I am paranoid that we are going to walk up to will call at MK, after flying in from Philadelphia, and will have to stand there for an hour getting in...and we have a BOG ressie, so we don't have time to be fighting about tix.... I can see it now...I'll be in tears , and my husband will be flipping out at someone ....doesn't it sound magical....lol!:rotfl2: Let's hope I'm wrong and am just a paranoid, non-trusting, anal crazy person! :lmao:

You shouldnt have any issues getting tickets earlier.

I booked tickets with my room through orbitz in April, my tickets were 5 day tkts, but I only booked 3 nights hotel since we were off site for the first 2 nights. I went to guest services and picked up my tkts 2 days earlier than the "valid" dates, and she never mentioned it.

That makes me feel better. I don't need to pick my tix up early, though. I have been concerned bc I've spoken to at least 8 different CMs (guest services, ticketing, help desk, tech support....), and NO ONE is able to find my tix in their system; i.e. Disney isn't recognizing my travelocity number. I tried scanning the tix into an iphone, as tech support suggested, but they still didn't recognize it. So...I am paranoid that I'm going to walk up to will call and it won't scan or they won't be able to find it in the system. And, if we get stuck at will call for awhile, we will miss our BOG ressie (scheduled for first night after we fly in). Any peace you can give me would be much appreciatef! :flower3:

I feel better also. Two days seems to be the magic number. I have a feeling if I were trying to get the tix any earlier than 48 hrs, I would be out of luck. Why the system doesn't get them until the last minute is beyond me. They are prepaid, so why not recognize them?

Still, I will print out anything from either company that says it shouldn't be a problem and carry it with me. And I won't cry if there is a problem because that will set my husband off too! He is not as diplomatic as I am.:hippie:

An update!!!! Email to Disney said call Travelocity. A call to Travelocity said no problem. An email to Travelocity said, sorry the dates are the dates. So another very long phone call to Travelocity and the tickets have been cancelled and the ticket money is being refunded but the hotel reservations remain as is.

I found a cancellation policy on their website that said I had until Sept 20th to cancel the 5-day Park Hoppers with NO penalties, which completely goes against the no cancellation policy that is printed on the voucher after they email it to you.

Good for you!! Now just make sure they credit you. I can't believe the email said the dates are the dates....that is just pure DUMB and WRONG....selling you a 5 day tix that is only good for 3 days??? Glad you got it worked out. I'm going to check out that cancellation policy, just so I know my options.

I can't find the policy. If you're able, can you post the link so I can check it out and know my options?
Thanks!

You have to click to open this in a separate window when looking at adding the tickets, which I'm sure very few people do, and then you have to click on "change/cancel policies".

I will be watching my bank account closely to make sure I get the refund and will be contacting the BBB if I don't get it within the next two weeks. They have an A+ rating but many complaints, most of which they seem to resolve so I guess I'm not that surprised at the refund. They know they don't have full disclosure until the tickets are already purchased, then it is too late for consumer.

Where are you are seeing tickets are refundable? :confused3

I'm curious because I was looking into them myself.

I've found that the link only shows the following when you are actually in the process of adding the tickets to an actual booking, then when you see this: "It's a win-win situation: the more you play at all of the Walt Disney World® Theme Parks, the less you pay per day... More", click on "MORE" and then click on "CHANGE/CANCEL POLICIES" (it is the last choice in the list) the following will appear (this is all copied and pasted from the pop up window):

Thanks for sharing the link. Unfortunately, no good for my tix. I ordered the 5 day (+1 day free) base tickets. They say no refunds after March 2013. If you notice, each type of tix has a different expiration date. That gives me a little bit of comfort, though, bc the one CM told me we couldn't link the tix bc they might be old tix (but still valid), and the new website doesn't recognize them.....so maybe that is the case....Disney will eventually rec. them....fingers and toes crossed! I'm glad you got yours taken care of. Glad to hear they have an A+ rating, but how do you get an A+ rating with many complaints?? Seems to me, even if complaints are resolved, they shouldn't get the highest rating!

Even more interesting!........When I clicked on it, it gave me March expiriation dates, but yours shows May! Perhaps it will set you up with exact tix when you're in the system....i.e, when I clicked I was linked to a different specific ticket than you??

I never even thought about that! What did you put in for travel dates? I used mine 11/21-11/25.
