gratuity included ???

We will be havinf afew meals with my sisters family, there will be 9 of us total. I know that they charge an automatic gratuity for parties of 8 or more. The question is... we will be getting 2 checks, will they still add the gratuity?

I suggest double checking each bill. Some places that say they include it sometimes don't.

I have a friend from the UK who isn't used to the whole tipping thing. Saw it on the menu. THought it would be included. Left a little extra, and the waiter blew up at her because he'd been stiffed.
That was SO wrong!!

Yes, if they do separate checks and the total party is eight or more they will usually add the gratuity to each check. However, it does not hurt to look at the bills when you get them.
