Gramma jinxed disney on spring break! PARTING THOUGHTS 06/15/09

Okay, drum roll please...... The answer is B. 1975. It was laid out as "Epcot Center" and was to be educational, along with an internal neighborhood where nations from around the world could showcase themselves in an environment of peace and understanding...Kum-Ba-Yah!:hippie: Really, that would be nice, wouldn't it?

So, I don't think anyone scored on that question. I'll be back tomorrow with a tally of scores (I know I said you could keep track, but it will give me something to do!) And a new question!

drat i should have read the question better, i knew that it took 3 years to build the park, but did not read where you said what year was it announced...
:headache:
Dan! so glad you could join us! I am lovin' your TR - thanks for joining mine, and good luck with the Trivia. There are some Epcot lovers in this group, so this section should be interesting!:thumbsup2

well thanks, if i lose the game, you can still buy me something in disney.
:goodvibes like that stupid puzzle i forgot to pick up in MGM, and did not find anywhere else on property.

I need a new question! I have to catch up!! Cammie and I need a bonus round!!

And Arbonne ROCKS!!!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I love their stuff!!

Hey Thanks! I keep getting impressed over and over again!:thumbsup2

Same with me about the Ponchos. Try the camping section of Target & Walmart. They were $1.09 at Target - color choice of red, blue or green. .88 at Walmart - but they were clear and ALWAYS sold out. Our dollar store here had NOTHING you guys sent me for! :lmao:

The pop up hamper I got was walmart too - $3.

I missed the trivia :sad1: but I would have guessed D, so I was wrong anyway.

No Target here, but I'll try Walmart - Thanks!

PM me - I could pick it up for you!

Oh geez!:headache:

(note to self: don't copy off of Dawn and Dan anymore!)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I need a new question! I have to catch up!! Cammie and I need a bonus round!!

Sorry, I had such busy days - I was too tired to go out to my office to get the trivia book! I'll get the scores right now!

Okay, the score so far:

Dawn - 1, and Drea - 3

The rest of you have some catching up to do!

Here's another Epcot question:

**What was NOT sold inside Epcot when the park first opened"?
a) Alcohol
b) Beverages in plastic cups, which were deemed environmentally "unfriendly."
c) Balloons
d) Disney character merchandise

Well, I'm going to go with what would be the most shocking: A - alcohol!

(although I think it could also be D)

Going with Alcohol (what were they thinking if so) and I love that Im in the lead and Im just guessing LMAO. If only my guesses were this good while I was in school :lmao:

Thanks for playing - I'll hold you in suspense a little longer! I didn't look at the answer yet, but I have a guess, too! If I get enough right, I'm going to treat myself to a grey goose slushy!:cool1:

Trippie Prep Announcement! I printed touring cards from TGM, so tonight I'm going to laminate them and put them on a ring for my bag. I don't need to go all commando, but I do want to remember his tips!:thumbsup2

Second, Jim got his coaching check, so we are "GO FOR LAUNCH!" (Sorry, we've been watching Space Buddies around here. Alot.):rotfl2:

3 WEEKS FROM RIGHT NOW, WE'LL BE WALKING THROUGH DTD!!!

I recently noticed my ticker was a day off - that's because my original plan was to leave on the 21st - that was before the BBall tickets! Technically we'll already be on vacation, so I haven't bothered to change it!

I'm guessing C - because I'm a rebel like that! :lmao:

Besides, what kind of future would it be with no booze? :rotfl2: :lmao:

And you HAVE to have cups for your booze, so that leaves that one out. :rotfl:

Tammie - are you getting excited yet? :hyper:

Oh Yeah! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I was just thinking some great leisure reading would be my passporter! Who am I kidding? There's no time for leisure reading! LOL!:lmao:

:confused3 Okay, I'm doing TGM and I don't know about the cards. Are they ones you made with his tips or is their actual cards you can download? :confused3

ok TGM.... I know what it stands for but what am I missing out by not using it/him LOL.

Yes, you can print them on 4x6 cards!
There is a sticky on the main forum page to "Melissa's Cards" and "Stephen's cards." The printed a little small - I'll have to use Jim's glasses to see them! I never have mine with me! (That's because I don't REALLY need them!:rotfl2: ) PM me if you want, I'll send you the link.

Mike is a professional VIP tour guide, so he says. He has all kinds of tips.

After you make your plans, you can log in to your travel month and get updates on park hours, etc. He explains the best viewing places, best strategy on rides, etc. Most of it we've been doing anyway, but it has been fun having it organized, and I have learned a little. :3dglasses

The biggest benefit is the "Parks least busy time" chart. He predicts which park will be the busiest day by day, and steers you away from them. He tells you which ones to visit on which days. Some DISers swear by it, I'll let you know what I think when we get back!:thumbsup2

Okay, Trivia answer is D. Character Merchandise.

This wasn't changed until Michael Eisner took a tour of the shops at Epcot and decided that it was just too boring over there!:thumbsup2 So merchandise and Characters started showing up, and the rest is history!

Woo HOO!!!!!!! :woohoo: I said D!!!!! :yay: I'm a winner!!!!! party: I have one point!!!!! :cheer2: It's a magical day!!!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
