Grad Nite Questions

We have just noticed that we will be at DisneyWorld in late April when Grad Nite festivities commence. My daughter is a senior and would like to go. My questions are:

#1. Can you get tickets just for 1 person? I've noticed a lot of web sites that sell group tickets but not individual tickets.

#2. Her mother would like to attend with her as a mother-daughter bonding experience. Is this allowed or is this just for the kids?

I think Grad Nite is for seniors from high schools across the country who are at Disney for the senior trip...I think it is all students and their chaperones...my sister went to Grad Nite during her trip and she said she didn't see any adults besides the chaperones and she does think it is just groups!

Grad Nite tickets are sold to groups only -- it is designed for gropus of seniors to come and enjoy the parks like they would enjoy any other senior outing. I believe there are provisions for home-schooled kids, so you could call and approach from that angle if it's important to your daughter to go.

The event is definitely designed for the kids -- the only adults there are the chaperones. But, again, there are provisions for home schooled kids, so you could always say that your daughter is home-schooled and you're going as her chaperone. But keep in mind that it would be like you and your daughter using the prom as a bonding experience. Or you going to the homecoming dance together. It's not totally out of the box, but one lone senior walking around the parks and seeing the concerts with her mom, while everyone else is in groups with their HS friends, might make you both feel a bit self-concious.
