Due to holiday bills, I most likely will not be able to make my dues payment until about January 25th. I seem to recall that there is a grace period for receipt of payment until February 15th or so. Here's my question! I will need to be speaking with member services around the 28th or so of this month concerning banking some points. (It's complicated, August use year, won't know until later this month what I need to bank!) Will Member services do this transaction? I read on the member site that they will not do any banking if dues are not up to date. Thanks for any insight!!!!

Would a CC be of help? You can call MS, and put yearly fee on CC, then it's between you and VISA, or whomever.....

Just an idea. Best wishes, Goldi

Annual dues are not considered late (and with penalties) until February 15.

You may want to consider calling MS and converting to auto-debit. There is no additional fee and the total fee will be deducted equally - 1/12 of the total each month.

Payment in full by credit card would also buy you a little more time.

Good luck!

I always pay my dues by CC at the end of January, after the billing cycle ends, so I really don't have to come up with the money until the end of February.

Me, too. Never had any problem doing it that way, either.

Best wishes -

Can you do this over the phone or do you have to mail the bill back with the CC payment info filled out? My cycle ends 2/4 and I'd rather not rely on the mail at that point. Thanks!

Just call MS and select the member accounting option- they'll walk you thru the process to pay using your CC.

Enjoy!

When using this option do the deductions for a given year, start the January that the full bill is due, or the January prior to that, so that by the time the full bill is due, the full amount will have been deducted?

At first it bothered me that my dues were due in January, even though my points were not available until March. Now, that I have actually already used all the points the dues are for (via borrowing) I don't mind paying the dues in January. But in the interest of making the best use of my money, I see no reason to give the money to Disney any sooner then required. At some point the interest I get on my savings will make this strategy more worth the effort.

Each year the maintenance fee for the current year is due and payable on January 15 (with the already described grace period until Feb. 15) ... OR ... it may be paid in 12 equal monthly payments auto-deducted from a checking account. The first auto-deduct is made on January 15 (and it will include any additional fees from the prior year's budget) and the remaining deductions are usually made on the 1st of each month.

The dues are figured on an annual basis regardless when our Use Year may be. (Remember, that when you purchased from Disney, the fees were prorated based on the date of purchase - even though you got a full year's worth of points.)

Enjoy!
