Hi
I know that I'm not the only GPT newbie here (I read of many others), so your responses could help many who feel as I do.....................

Looking back now, I can see that when I joined around the first of June, it was the very end of the "hay day" of GPT's. I hopped on at the beginning of a "down-swing" and now I'm trying to figure out how to "hold on".

For those of you who have been around for a long time, do you think GPT's will survive this? After the "storm" will the sites that make it through be stronger due to a lot of competition being eliminated?

What advice would you give to others who are in my position?
I read somewhere that cashduck is part of some sort of group and that most members of this group will probably go down. (can't remember the specifics, but I read it here) In light of that, which sites do you consider still strong and reliable and would recommend?
I'm currently active with SR and CD :sad1:
I'm also registered (but not active) with QR, CC, monsterpayscash, fusioncash, surveysavvy, & DBP.

(PS- I'm interested in cash payouts- check or paypal - not shopping "points".)

Unfortunately for your sake, I think the other big round of things still to go are cash payouts. You can already see that a lot of the sites have offers where you get some kind of points or tokens for completing specific offers rather than cash. That's because many of the advertisers are stipulating that there can be no cash or "cash equivalent" rewards given for a lot of the offers now. (especially the bigger ones) The reason behind it is that most of the fraud has been occurring where someone spends $100 on a prepaid visa, signs up for offers that get them $300 in rewards, then cashes out for $300 in cash or paypal. That means they can triple their money. If they can crack down on THAT kind of behavior, the industry will make it through.

I've talked to a lot of the advertisers and networks over the last couple of months. They all agree that while GPT in its most greedy form is in trouble, there are some things that are going to continue to do well. Among them are cash back shopping and surveys. To some extent, the newsletter and sample signups will continue to do okay in the GPT world.

Hi crazymom. QR is doing a special offer for inactive DISers who become active again. The site still seems stable, but it's the only program I'm participating in at the moment so I don't have much basis for comparison.

From the owner's blog:
