I'm so angry! I finally got a pin code, all set to apply it to my reservation. Guess what! I ALREADY HAVE THAT PRICE!!! How stupid! I already have their so-called "discounted" rate offered, which is actually nothing more than rack rate. Gee guys, way to impress a guest.

That figures....these codes are such a mixed bag, some hit the jackpot others just sit back and scratch their heads!!!:confused3

They did the same thing to me. It made me a little angry and depressed. Sort of took the magic out of it. Makes you wonder why they bother.

Yeah, I got one last week. The reason I got it was because I called Disney to see if I had a discount attached to my name and got a quote for the time I want to go. Then the next day I got an email just overviewing what I told them, then a few days later got an email telling me What a great deal I was being offered for the time I wanted to go. Weird thing was it stated I got the email because I ordered a vacation dvd:confused: . The email basically stated I was being offered rack rate for the time I was quoted for a value. Thing is I was quoted for a Mod. which I want. Then it stated they could give me 20% off for other dates, in which I can not go. So the next day I called AAA and booked a trip when and where, even the section I want to stay in and got a discount of about $130 over rack rate through Disney. So now I will sit back and wait for a better deal to come along.:thumbsup2

The typical Disney goer has no idea about the DIS boards and is not as informed as we, and probably thinks that IS a deal. "if you tell someone a lie long enough, sooner or later they take it as truth":thumbsup2

I called to book today for Sept and got offered Corando for $60.00 more than staying at the POP. I am not sure how much of a % off they were giving me. CM told I would be saving about $500.00. But, I turned it down, because I am hoping for Free Dining instead. My kids actually prefer the Value over the Mods. They like all the enormous characters at the Values.

I would take Cor. in a heartbeat. That pool and dig site looks AWESOME. Being a family of 5 is a pain at WDW. Don't know if the deal is good or not.

I called about my postcard and the discount was about 30% for the flexible dates but rack rate for the value dates. Sadly I had gotten a better deal a month ago but canceled. UGH. But it's not when we want to go this next time so I just couldn't do it plus it was POR [family of 5] and I felt we would be smushed.

Sigh.

Never, ever plan on taking a discounted Disney vacation. There is no such thing IMO :rotfl: some trips are a little less expensive than others but if you plan on going to WDW, plan on it being expensive. They are not out to impress you, they are running a business out to make money.
