Got my CROCS... color issue? What do you think?

I haven't read through all the replies but I think the shoe that more closely matches the color you want would be the one called "pearl" or "white". I have that color and it isn't yellow at all. It looked good with my white shorts. My white ones look more like the pic you posted of the butter ones from the Croc site!

Anyway...I finally got my Nile shoes in a size 9 (I've been getting a medium 8/9 in the other models) and the 9 feels a bit big on me. I generally am a true size 9 and not smaller. The shoes fit but I wish the strap was a big tighter.

something is definitely wrong there. They do not look anything like the 'butter' crocs I've seen in stores. maybe you accidentally got shipped a new color? They are supposed to be releasing new colors sometime in may.

I have emerald green and they are MUCH darker than the ones pictured!!!! They look pretty much like the ones on the CROC website. I would say just a "shade" brighter green, not much though, they are still really dark. I would say they are almost the darkness of navy. The ones Maxaroni posted look nothing like them!!!! I would say those look like the sage!!!

I agree and yet, they said Emerald Green....who knows? I thought they were a sage green and when I read the color, I thought it was strange. :confused3 Whatever color they are, I like them. :cool1:

The ones that I saw were black, navy, this green I got, pink, red and light blue. I have the light blue and pink in the payless knock-offs. My ds said I should have gotten the navy but I liked this green...whether it be emerald green or sage. :)

FYI...for anyone checking out Payless, they may not be in your regular size aisle. I found them at a seperate display of sandals. :flower:

I love my Payless ones...wanted to try them on before I bought them and there are no retailers who sell CROCS in my area. I love um! They were comfortable during and after my 3+ mile power walk last week.

The only difference I found people comment on between the airwalk version and Crocs is that Crocs are slightly cushier-is this about it for those of you who have both?

Okay, so that is what the company considers butter?? I was in Gatlinburg this weekend and found a store FULL of crocs. I wanted to get pink and butter. But, they didn't have what I thought of as butter. They had bright yellow and a mustardy color. The mustardy color are the ones that you posted. I bought pink and purple.

Yes! That's exactly what I would call them ~ mustardy yellow :goodvibes

I actually bought a pair of butter crocs today! I love them!

I didn't like the way the butter ones looked on the website - it was more like "cream." However, when I saw them in the store, I thought they were very, very pretty. Sort of the color of a yellow post-it or scrambled eggs... :rotfl2:

I found the sizing to be a bit off. I wear a size 8 in shoes. I tried on the Medium (what is suggested for a size 8) but they were too big. The smalls are perfect for me.

And...they are sooo comfy! Can't wait to wear them to the parks.

I found that the actual CROCS (vs the Airwalks) do seem to run a little bit bigger.

They're adorable maxaroni! Thanks so much for sharing that pic with me. Those are called "emerald green?" I love the color, but they seem far brighter and lighter than the sample pic to me. What do you think?

Not like those in the website photo. I really like the color and not sure I like the darker color.

I found them on an end-cap....not in the aisles.

Wild Birds Unlimited had both the sage and the emerald green in the beach models and the ones Maxaroni posted looked just like their sage. Their emerald was a really, really dark, almost deep forest green. They also had a couple different shades of pink. The cashier there said the main problem they had had with them (besides keeping them in stock) is that different shipments fit differently. I tried on several pairs of med (wear a size 8) and she was right. One of the mediums was significantly smaller than the other two. The Niles also fit ALOT smaller than the Beach or Cayman styles. By the way all of their Crocs (including the Caymans--$39.99 on Crocs web site) were priced at $29.99.

I wouldn't call those dark green ones emerald at all. IMO, they are a hunter green. This all has me confused.... :confused3

I also looked at Pay Less and they did not have anything like them. What are the ones at payless called and what do they look like (can you post a pic please?)

I'd be happy to DisneyPhD. One of the ladies here posted a direct link to the Payless website (many thanks!) Also, I've posted a pair of CROCS and Airwalks, side-by-side.

CROCS = mustardy yellow/post-it yellow (I love the names you gals came up with) :) The CROC insignia is only on the RIGHT rivet of each shoe, and it is not a stickie.

Airwalks = blue

I think if you look closely (especially at the top down pic), you'll see that the CROCS seem to run a bit bigger .

The blue Airwalks would be similar in color to the CROCS "Light Blue"

Selket, I think my next pair (and there WILL BE a next pair :goodvibes ) will be the ones you suggest... the white ones. I own a pair of the black Airwalks and I think white would go with a lot of my outfits.

Now there's something I hadn't thought of :) I double-checked the receipt and it does say *BUTTER* on it.

I can't wait to see new colors!

Excellent point disneyfan551! In my store, they were hanging on an end-cap (the part of the aisle that faces out). I would've missed them had I not walked over to see the purses!

Yes! The CROCS are definitely (imo), a bit more cushiony. They feel somewhat thicker and more padded.

I was thinking that so I asked the guy (who didn't look at me like my head was spinning around.) He said not all stores had them, (but they did have the airwalk swell side) and told me to check out another store close by. Now I know what I am asking for (not Croc knock off's that look like they are made of plasic, but aren't! ;) )

Thanks for the link Mickymousegal! That was very helpful.

I don't think I can run all over town before we leave in one week looking at every odd Hallmark, wild bird store (there are a few around here.) and outdoor store looking, but I can hit the payless at the mall (and DD can play!)

Now I need to call CROCS online and cancel my order for the niles in size small. They would be too big. Maybe they have them in XS!

9 times out of ten when you can't get an accurate color it is because your monitor isn't adjusted to see it correctly.

Did you ever walk into a store that sold TV's? Notice that not all the pictures look the same. That is ok for a TV but not ok when you are printing or adjusting an image based on what you see. Same with buying based on the color you see on the screen, the image may be accurate on the website but your monitor is not adjusted to see the color correctly.

Actually, my monitor is just fine thanks. Plus, not only is the image displayed on my monitor, it is also displayed on a 35" television screen as well.

I agree that colors do vary amongst screens, but in this case, I feel there is a significant difference.
