Got a Magic Moments Certificate!!

I may be the only person to have felt grumpy when witnessing a Magic Moment presentation.

We were in Downtown Disney in the arcade place, and after coming off the ride, one of the castmembers gave a certificate to a little girl. Her sister was standing right beside her and got NOTHING. No explanation was made. We were all really uncomfortable. The kid didn't make a scene, but she was upset about it.

I just did not get that. It wasn't like she had done something her sister hadn't -- he just happened to want to give one away, I guess, and at the earliest possible moment. I think waiting for an only child or giving more than one would have been kinder.

Kind of soured me on the whole thing.

We got our latest one from the driver of the Great Movie Ride. We got to sit right up front and we were trading trivia fact about the ride and he found out that it was our anniversary. BTW, he was one of the actors in the Appocylpse Now scene at the end of the ride.

DH and I got two on our honeymoon within 20 minutes. As we were walking to the Land pavilion, a castmember stopped us and gave us one that gave us front of the line privileges. Then, at the end of the ride, another castmember gave us one that said Happy Honeymoon, and also told us that we had a phone call. It was Mickey and Minnie, congratulating us on our honeymoon!

Disney is magic!

When my youngest son was 6, (he's now 20!!!), we were at the Hoop de Doo Musical Revue and we were in the front table. I turned to say something to my MIL and before I knew it my sone was whisked on stage and played the sheriff. He got a certificate stating that he was the best sherrif, (since the last one and until the next!!!) :teeth: We got a picture too of him standing over the "bad guy" with his arms in the air.

We Love the Poly - which morning did your DD get to wake up Tink? We did that last week as well - isn't it cool!?

On Saturday, October 23 and yes it was cool! ::yes::

Did the CM show you Tinkerbell through the dressing table
keyhole?

By the way, I'm just north of you in Westfield. :wave2:

My daughter received a magical moments certificate from a cast member when she was seven. We were purchasing dessert, and my daughter took out her "Hello Kitty" wallet, and offered to pay. We allowed her to, and the CM was so impressed with her generosity, she filled out the magical moments certificate. My daughter always makes me proud, but it is so nice when other people notice her kind spirit!:D

Our three kids were chosen to decorate the tree in the Christmas shop in Liberty Square. Not only did they get three certificates, they also got three Christmas ornaments. They were the ones that looked like bells with a different character on top of each. The personalization said Magical Moment 2002. They were thrilled and we talk about each year when we decorate our tree!

3 years ago on our last WDW trip (oh, it's been too long :) ) we were walking the Maharajah Jungle Trek and we got one. Our family looks quite interesting. In the front is my Dad pushing my arthritic, enlarged heart Grandma, followed by me in my electric wheelchair, followed by my sister in her electric wheelchair, and in the back is my Mom in her electric wheelchir. This CM kinda stopped and gave us a guided tour through the trail up to the fruit bat area. It was cool to learn about the animals. Did you know that there is no glass or screen seperating you from the bats??? Then she stopped and said, "Congratulations, you have just experienced a Disney Magical Moment!" We got a certificate for our family. What a nice memory!::yes::

My daughter received a certificate because she was chosen to be the Big Kahuna at TL! It was a very magical day for all of us. We got into the park early and received a tour of the whole place (including the location of a hidden Donald). She received 6 free towels, free locker rental, free donuts and a free drink mug. Then they led us to the coolest place to sit for the day, right in front of the wave pool. It was roped off with a sign saying "reserved for the Big Kahuna" and had a table, chairs, lounge chairs and umbrella. She also received a medal on a ribbon that said "Big Kahuna". When the park officially opened she talked to someone on the radio to tell them that she was using her medal as the key to turn on the waves (there was a box with markings for the different waves)... she chose "bodacious"! Of course, they were really turning them on somewhere else, but she thought she did it! After we were all situated, our CM brought her over the beautiful certificate. It is now framed on our wall with the medal draping over it.

It was a wonderful experience for all of us!
