Goofy Gala Pillowcases

I'm afraid to wash DS's pillowcase from the Giggle Gala! Can I wash it or will the ink come out? DS isn't the best artist but it's still a cute keepsake. He's been asking to use it but I need to wash it beforehand. Any experience out ther? If the ink will come out, is there a way to make it permanent? As you can tell, I stink at doing laundry LOL Thanks!

If your DS used the markers given in the club to color, then it should be no problem washing the pillowcase. I have washed my DD's pillowcase twice now and the color is still as vibrant as before.

We too have had luck with washing the pillow case. Our son used the markers provided back in Jan 2004 and it still looks great.

Well, just an update.....I washed the pillowcase and all the color came out but the purple He did use the markers they provided...including red, black and green, but the only color that stayed was the black that the CM's used to write his name and group and the purple he used to color with. I guess Tide works better than I thought LOL

DS hasn't seen it yet so I don't know how disappointed he will be. If it's bad, I'll run out and get fabric markers and he can do it again.

I am really surprised that the colors came out so easily. I have washed the ones my sons made last summer a number of times and they still look good. I hope he's not too disappointed. I suppose you will just have to go again and get another one!

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your pillowcase Stimpy. I washed my DD's pillowcase with Tide too but the colors didn't come off. I hope that your son is not too upset and he could redo the coloring bit.
