Good Sam Article

Nice article. I never realized there were 409 cabins. WOW. That's a lot of cabins.

I wish they wouldn't promote the cabins any longer. There was a time when you could always get a cabin, no matter the time of year. Now it seems everyone is wanting to stay there. And the rates have gone up to match the higher demand.

They have not made any improvements to them either. It's just demand.

I guess that goes with other threads about refurbs and Disney Management (and profits). While I certainly don't want to rehash that here, I certainly understand what you are saying. Personally, I prefer a Tent but the DW won't do that. So we have a nice Travel Trailer. It still gets us out to nature but with all the comforts of home. So I don't really have a need for the cabins anyway. I have driven by them and they look nice (from the outside) but that's about my limits with dealing with the cabins.

The cabins are nice. They're rustic, and the furniture isn't that comfortable. The full kitchen, with dishwasher, is great. We like the deck, parking right out front, and the completely separate bedroom. But I wouldn't call it comfortable - the bed is a full, and the murphy bed is the same. There are bunk beds.

But we love the environment and the felling we're in a little house in the middle of the woods with easy access to all WDW has to offer.

I doubt they're ever upgrade the amenities to match the price now being charged. It's just not thank kind of place. And that's ok with us.
