Good riddance to the Wright Amendment!!!

Finally, I'll be able to book airfare from Dallas Love Field to MCO! Love field is much closer to my home. Add that to the fact that American Airlines is like a criminal syndicate, I'll be very, very happy to fly Southwest Airlines from now on.

American Airlines have kept a choke-hold on North Texas for way to long with ridiculous fares and I'm looking forward to a pricing war to make travel more affordable.

Although there isn't a law like that in Chicago, United Airlines tried to keep Jet Blue out of Chicago O'hare without success.

Yes, starting tomorrow, 10/19, Southwest can offer flights from Love Field to locations outside of the Wright Amendment states (Texas, New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississipi, Alabama & Louisiana) as long as they have a stop in one of the Wright Amendment states. So now you can book a ticket from Dallas Love to Orlando with a stop in New Orleans (among other places). Beginning in 2014 the one-stop requirement will be eliminated and airlines can fly non-stop anywhere from Love Field.
