Good deal on Disney tickets through Orbitz

I purchased 2 Disney tickets from Orbitz for my kids about a month ago. Got my ebates 10.5% back and received the check. I just purchased tickets now for my husband and I. Hope all goes smoothly. Disney tickets prices I fear will be going up shortly, especially now that Universal has increased their prices.

You are issued an immediate voucher for the Disney tickets which you need to take to Guest Services. The vouchers were for October and when we were at Downtown Disney last month (business non-Disney trip) I stopped by Guest Services to see if I could pick up the actual tickets. The CM tried, but the tickets did not show up in the their system yet so I could not pick them up.

Orbitz 10% again today!!!! Should I buy tix there or UT? Same price before 10%. Orbitz is safe, right?

People on here have bought through Orbitz and had no problem taking their voucher they purchased and redeeming at WDW for the park tickets. Thanks to your heads up that 10.5% is back on Ebates, I purchased today!

I'm thinking about getting tickets through here for our trip on October, and if I do, our tickets are $636.88, and at 10.5% cash back, that's $66.87 back in our pocket, making the tickets far cheaper than if we bought them off UT.

Yes, they are upgradeable. I think you need to use them at least one day (at least that is what I did) and then you can upgrade like normal.

If you read back through the 10 pages of this thread you will see that almost everyone has gotten their cashback almost immediately. A couple of people did not get the cashback immediately, but Ebates is very reputable and has a process to issue cashback after the fact if it did not credit properly initially.

Still getting the same answer from Ebates about the 40 days. I have all my emails and vouchers so when I call to get my cash I have all my paper trail!

Hope that they'll post my cash back soon, or else, if I have to wait until after my trip in November, I won't get a cheque until February 2014! That just seems too long to have to wait...

Still haven't seen it... My 40 days will be up shortly... The first day of our voucher was April 18. I made this purchase in February. It seems crazy to wait this long but the tickets were a good deal regardless of the extra $ back. I'll post another reply for everyone once I battle it out with eBates!

Watching this thread. I just purchased DL tix through ebates/Orbitz on 5/21 and am getting the 40 day thing too. Guess I have no choice but to wait and see . Our trip isn't until this fall.

Just as a reassurance to some of you, I haven't done this offer, but I do use ebates and another rewards program for online shopping and have booked hotel stays many times. These never credit until after the hotel stay and some have been a year out (even if I take the nonrefundable, lowest price deals on their site). I think I've only ever had one hotel not credit.

Lemon Pie alerted us on the Disneyland boards to try emailing the Ebates Facebook email address ( facebookhelp @ ebates.com (no spaces) or @ebates.ca for Canadians). I sent an email this morning and got a reply from an Ebates Customer Care Manager this afternoon that my account has been credited. Try emailing them if you're still waiting.

I purchased two tickets on 2 separate days and both times the ebates refund was credited to my account. Already got the money/check for the first transaction. No problems! Saved almost $240 off the Disney World gate prices on 2 adult/2 children tickets for 5 day park hoppers!

Just got our tickets through here, even though it's only 5.25% cash back right now. I'm too afraid of Disney's ticket increase to wait one more minute, and even though I probably won't see the cash back until, well, way past our stay in October, at least we get some cash back.

From everything that I have seen, you could upgrade. It's been recommended that you use the tickets once and then take them to Guest Services to upgrade. Keep in mind Disney ticket prices are going up tomorrow-- and I"m not sure if Orbitz's prices will go up tomorrow too on Disney prices, but I'm assuming when you go to upgrade you will pay the new ticket price difference??

Yes , you can upgrade. I took my voucher to guest services and upgraded to a 6 day PH for $10.16. No problem at all. The ticket I received was the RFID type so we could use the new park entrance system.

So I did this same thing the other day, purchased the 3 day with 2 free days with the intention to upgrade them to 8 day tickets.

But now with the price increase tomorrow how is this going to work?

Am I going to have to pay the upgrade fee from the original 5 day price to the new 8 day price? That's a huge price difference now!!
