Good deal on Disney tickets through Orbitz

The prices for most tickets are the same as gate prices for me. I'm looking at the 10 day WPF & PH tickets. You still save over Mousesavers prices but you have to count on getting credit from Orbitz.

I recently purchased the 3 day ticket with the 2 free days with the water park and fun option, as it was the best deal.

I was able to pick the tickets up at downtown disney two days before I started using them. The 14 days did not start until the first day I actually used them.

I received the new plastic RFID tickets.

After I used them for at least one day, I was able to add days to the tickets just like any other magic your way ticket. I did this once to go from 5 days to 7 days, and the from 7 to 8 days. I did this at guest relations at the major parks.

The only risk is that the tickets are non refundable if your plans change, and you do not pick up the tickets.

I purchased my tickets in March, and the cash back is already in my account and will be paid may 15.

Today only double deal for 10.5% through ebates!! Been keeping an eye, so finally got my 10 day passes (non-exp, hoppers, w/waterparks).

Scared to push the button. :rotfl2:
LOL I kept going back and forth to. What I don't like is you are purchasing a voucher that they send you in an email and you have the date on the voucher that you chose and have to pick it up at Disney World by that time frame you entered when buying thru Orbitz. If I lived in FL I wouldn't have such a problem with that but if you don't redeem that voucher by the date, you are sorry out of luck. Undercover tourist (Thru the mousesaver link) sends you actual park tickets.

Plus some people had trouble redeeming their "Cash back". They were told the $ might not show up in the account until 40 days after the "Trip" is complete. I emailed Ebates about it and got that answer too. Makes no sense since you're paying up front but...:rolleyes1 As good as the deal seemed, I had to pass. Happy for everyone that did buy with no issues. Just seems to be random with Ebates policies and I don't need the added stress with worrying.

I couldn't do it. 9 tickets is a lot of money for something to mess up. LOL! Are dates are firm because we have plane and hotel already reserved and paid. I'm just scared to drop that chunk of change on tickets w/out anything tangible in my hands. LOL!!! And this is from the woman who loves shopping on ebay, priceline and vrbo!! :confused3 I think it's the price.

O well, hopefully another double deal will come along before my May date and maybe I'll have the courage to do it. LOL!!

So far it looks like Orbitz has one if these double % rebate deals via ebates roughly every month. I, too, am hesitant buying via a voucher with set dates so far out (Dec. trip) but will seriously consider this option when my trip is around the corner.

BTW, thanks OP for starting this thread. I never paid attention to sites like ebates before the discussion on this thread; though I did hop through airline portals to earn miles. Well, I prefer cash over miles for the most part. Over the past 2 months I have done almost all my online shopping via ebates (and making a real effort to check for higher rebate offers). I now have almost $50 coming back to me!

Posting from AKL balcony as I watch the zebras graze! I bought 4 adult and 2 child tickets on March 14 with 10.5% cash back. Took my voucher to DTD on Saturday night and redeemed them for the plastic RFID tix with no issue. However, they could not transfer these tix to my KTTW at AKL. Oh well- no big deal. We have used them at the parks, DQ, and the waterparks with no issue except my daughter's finger will never scan correctly.

I emailed eBates this morning and got the same "may take up to 40 days from the end of your trip to credit cash back." I'm waiting on $197.04 so you better believe I am watching closely.

I wonder why I have to wait when others seem to have had their accounts credited already?:confused3

Either way- the tickets are good, they redeem fine, and it's a great deal. I've used eBates for 2 years so I know I will eventually get paid.

Wish I had known you were there... We just left yesterday! Still getting the same answer from Ebates about the 40 days. I have all my emails and vouchers so when I call to get my cash I have all my paper trail! Have a great trip... Crowds were dying down on Monday!

Was it a hassle to participate in EMH with the tix not attached to your KTTW card?

Me too! Apparenty I had signed up in 2004 and then never used it till this month.

We are going May 8th and I purchased 10 day park hoppers that we will upgrade to AP's once there. Ebates already credited the money to my account.

This looks like a great deal. We always book packages to get the dining plans, but I'm going to remember this just in case.

We do occasionally do a one night hotel only reservation - doing one this year to try out AoA. I will look into this in the future as well. pixiedust:

This is the best deal I have seen. We are looking for 5 days in August. They have pay for 3, pay for 5. I haven't seen this anywhere else. Has anyone done this? Makes me nervous. Saves $200 plus the cash back. Decisions, decisions.

Thanks for mentioning this option...I love ebates!

Am I doing something wrong because when I went to UT it was more $$$ than my tix through Disney package. I think it was 288 for 7 days and 305 or 315 on UT per adult ticket.

It has taxes already included (and free shipping). Disney's quoted prices do not include tax.

Ahhhh...okay now my other question is about the tickets. I have always done the MYW so this is new to me. If I am staying on property with tickets from another source do I have to carry the paper ticket with me and the ktw for fastpasses? TIA!

I have used ebates for 3 or 4 years and never had a problem with getting my money but it is only sent to you every quarter. Sometimes it takes a while to post to the account but it shows up eventually.

The KTTW is needed only for EMH. Your ticket is what is used for FastPasses.

Orbitz 10% again today!!!! Should I buy tix there or UT? Same price before 10%. Orbitz is safe, right?
