Golfing at Bonnet Creek?

Does anyone know whether or not you can golf at Bonnet Creek while you're staying at WDW (specifically at OKW)? On our last trip, DH met someone golfing who said he'd gone over to Bonnet Creek to golf, and he was staying at OKW, as we were. However, all the literature we've read indicates that the golf course is for guests only, and there are no rates for non-guests. Does anyone know the true story? DH would love to golf over there.
