DH has a golf badge where he has to get a tee time after 10:00am (DVC). In the past he's always teed off as soon as possible after 10, then met me about 4:00. This year he's thinking of golfing after lunch some days, allowing us to spend time at AK, and take advantage of the lower cost lunches at some places. This is late May, early June. He's not concerned about heat-it's hot in summer where we live and yet, he'll golf any time. Anyone have any experience with late day golf, say after 3:00 or so? How is it golfing at that time? Do you still get finished before it gets dark? Any bugs out?

Biggest problem that time of day that time of year is rain as you usually get that late afternoon thunderstorm about then. Also, at 3 usually starts the twilight rates (lower than he probably can get with the badge -- last year it was $25 at LBV, Palm and Magnolia). That also can bring out a lot of people right about that time. Rounds can be quite lengthy as a result (4 1/2 hours). Bugs are no worse than rest of day until evening sets in and they come out more.
