golf cart rental

I really have a habit of jumping the gun especially when someone is messing with my $.

Did anyone see anything specially stating he was out of business?

I guess I can just wait & see!!

I rented from them for December. I already paid. Did you pay and did you somehow get your $ back? I tried emailing them and I called yesterday after I saw this but of course no response yet. I am steaming mad

I should have just gone with Disney. More expensive but not going to leave me hanging for my $. I actually talked them up too. So nice when I booked!!!!!

Guess we were lucky. We picked one up from them on Oct. 14th. Dropped it off on Oct 21 when we left. I hope you get your $ back . Call your credit card company and tell them what has happened. Maybe there is a recourse through them?

DO NOT RENT FROM ORLANDO GOLF CART!!!! We had reservations with them from oct 26th through Nov 1st. The cart NEVER SOWED UP!!! Disney cast members, our party, disney security, our travel agent, all looked in various locations for this mysterious golf cart! I contacted ogcr on wed evening was told "its after 5pm this isn't an emergency and HUNG UP ON ME!!! So I called first thing thursday morning, got voicemail. My travel agent called every 30 min to get someone real to talk too. He then talked to "alex" and was told there was a mistake and my golf cart wasn't delivered on wed but would be delivered on thursday. Again we waited........ On thursday we again got everyone and their brother to look..... No golf cart found. At this point we had spent most of two days worrying about and looking for this golf cart. I never got a return call!!! My travel agent did call them on thursday leaving another vm telling them we wanted a full refund and to cancell the rest iof the reservation. I was lucky to be able to get a golf cart from disney for 4 out of our 5 days left! So many great people spent hours helpibng us find this mysterious golf cart....... Please save yourself the headache rent from disney or kenny. Off to dispute the charges!!! Donette aka frugalmommaof2

Sorry to hear about your troubles! Yikes. But I read your other post and glad you enjoyed the cabins. We are staying in one this Dec.

I'm renting from Kenny, but called OGCR back in Aug to get a quote. The guy sounded nice enough but turned me off when I asked about rain covers. He told me it never rains in Dec and I didn't have to worry about it. Um.... I was there in Dec 2009. It rained often. I just didn't like the vibe, so I stuck with my original reservation with Tee Time.

Definitely dispute the charges. Others who have reservations should do the same. Your credit card company should be able to back you up on this one.

Sorry but we have been having website and major phone problems, we are refurbishing the store and the server lines have been damaged, hopefully this issue will be sorted out by Friday.

We are still open for business and still trading, we have not closed and have no plans of shutting the doors.

Thanks, & I think that any business that was remodeling would let their customers know by putting some type of notice at the store.

I am disputing the charges with the credit card (thank goodness I am within my 60 days!!!) and I just called & reserved a cart with Disney. I have had a few emails from Chase Visa & they keep saying he does not answer the phone & is not returning the reps phone calls. I hope that is a good sign for getting my $ back. I have never disputed a charge before.

Please Please Please dont believe him!!! I recieved a call from "David from Orlando Golf Cart" on Wednesday morning at 819am. He told me he was the person that would be picking up the golf cart and wanted to check the time he was to pick up the golf cart. I literally laughed out loud to him. I explained to him what had occured (no golf cart arriving) he told me to call his boss the "owner of Orlando Golf Cart Rental's Danny May". I called him and when he finally answered the phone he told me that someone this "David" had broken into his shop and stole pick up paperwork and that this "David" had stolen 15 golf carts from him in the last 7 days. He told me to "not worry about my refund". When asked when I would get one he told me "Its the first of the month I am not sure'. He then told me that an investogator would be calling me. That was Wednesday. I called today and so did my travel agent..... no answers......

I don't recall Golf Cart Enterprise. Do you have contact info for them?

Most of the off site vendors are in the $225 - 260 per week range for a 4 passenger cart, including tax, pickup and delivery.

The best rate I obtained was $190 per week 4 passenger, inc tax pick up & del.

I am sorry that this happened to you. Good luck with the dispute. But thank you for posting about your experience & warning the rest of us. I hope you have a great vacation otherwise!!

I have already disputed my charges & I just rented from Disney for a few days of our trip, not all of them. Being that OGCR does not answer his phone calls, I hope I can get my money back.

I had a reservation for March. I just called disney visa and disputed the charge and they said no problem will show on my account within 24-48 hours. I did try to call orlando golf cart rentals first but no answer. Think i'll pay the extra to disney for peace of mind..

I've seen several folks say this, and you need to do what you think is right for your family (and tolerance of hassle) - but there are a couple of vendors you can set your watch by.

I agree 100%, no make that 110%, I was thinking the same thing.... I was also thinking, man, I wished I was ready to retire and/or was rich and could take over Orlando Golf Cart business, but ya know, Kenny does such a great job, I would not want to do that.....

Best of luck to all who are having to deal with getting refunds and blocking charges, I know it is not what you wanted to worry about on a vacation.... Hope you still have/had a magical vacation!!

requesting a cart for the 1st 9 days of Jan. 2012. I figured it would take a few days for them to contact me. Its been 30 minutes, they called and scheduled the dates and I'm set and ready to go.. Thats service! Steve (sambuster)
