golf cart rental

Okay, I sent a email to Kenny's ('ttimegolfcarts@aol.com) at 1:32pm
requesting a cart for the 1st 9 days of Jan. 2012. I figured it would take a few days for them to contact me. Its been 30 minutes, they called and scheduled the dates and I'm set and ready to go.. Thats service! Steve (sambuster)

50 days to go!

way to go Kenny. I have heard nothing but great things about him on here. I am going to try to get him for our trips next yr.

It would only be fair to add Central Florida Golf Carts to the list, very reliable, one less thing to worry about when on vacation. cfgolfcarts@gmail.com
They seem to have the best prices as well. Their contact is Andy.

Are you by chance affiliated with this company ?

Denise - I agree, sounds like he's promoting his own company. I have never heard anything about them and no one has mentioned renting from them before.

The only off-site rental company that I have heard no complaints about is Kenny. No one should worry if they make their reservations with him; he seems to go out of his way to make his customers happy.

So let's see. Atlantis2011 joined disboards on Oct 31, 2011. Has 18 posts, of which only 13 show up in stats at the moment. And 8 of those 13 are golf cart related.

While I appreciate the need to advertise, spamming isn't the way to do it. I sincerely hope this business does well and can be a viable option, but there are better ways to advertise and get the word out. Spamming this group will backfire more than help.

I checked their other posts and unless Atlantis edited out the "Advertising" there are only two of them that have any company info. Do you guys work for Kenny? I know you don't but unless Atlantis edited all these to remove info I don't see what you are complaining about.

Let's set the record straight. All these discussions started out about Orlando Golf Carts, I went out of my way to visit their shop and report it has gone, many of you have managed to stop payment and re-book your carts and I am hoping it is because of my actions. Central Florida Golf Carts are right across the road from them and that's who I booked my cart through. I was only trying to help, End of story.

Good news here! Emailed Kenny's yesterday to let them know my situation, and asked about a cart the first 12 days in February- nice lady called back this morning and got us all set up for only $360 total! Now if I can just have some luck disputing the $100 advance I lost with OGC, I'll be so happy! I went in to my bank today, and had the greatest worker helping me- took over an hour but we have the process started.

And dont' forget (to all who gave OGC their cc#) CHANGE YOUR CC NUMBER!! If you don't cancel the card you gave them, they could turn around and open another company (probably a fraudulent one)and then charge your card again!!! Advice from my banker. Honestly- who would think someone would DARE involve anything to do with Disneyworld in a crime- I really feel for some of you people who lost more money, and showed up expecting your cart and never got it. I guess I consider myself lucky, even if I can't get my $100 back...

Does anyone have any experience with The Villages Golf Cart Man? They offer rentals starting at $155. per week, they don't list delivery charges tho. It seems they are not located very close for pick up either.
I am considering a rental if it fits in our tight budget, but don't want to be hassled, I would rather ride the bikes if the rental is too much $$ or trouble Thanks Brian

Just called Chase about disputing the payment I made to OGCR back in September for October vacation. Chase will be trying to recover funds from their bank. Might be worth a call to your CCC if you lost money too.

I'm very sorry that this was the one bulb out in a otherwise beautiful string of lights.
  • Does anyone know what Disney's position was/is on this?
  • Has anyone had any luck with getting their $ back?
  • Is Kenny @ Tee Time still getting great reviews?

I'm working on booking a trip for my parents & am not wanting to set them up for failure. My dad loves the golf cart almost as much as camping! TIA for all your help!

I disputed the charges in Oct for my Dec trip. They issued me a credit of the $ while the dispute was being investigated. I received a letter from the credit card co. about 2 wks ago stating that they ruled the dispute in my favor & I could keep the credit.

The cart did not show up, so we rented from Disney.

Good luck!!

Angie

I ended up filing a formal complaint with the Orlando area Better Business Bureau and Orlando Golf Carts never responded to their inquiries either. I did get a refund of the disputed charges from my credit card company.

OKAY!! :cool1: So Kenny never replied to the 02FEB e-mail. :confused3 After filling out the form on his website Friday, 10Feb, he did call me on 13FEB. He is extremely polite & very easy to talk to! :yay: My reservation dates were confirmed, he got CC# info & advised that he only charges 7-10 days prior to pick up date. :woohoo: The Golf carts are $35 per day, for a total of $210.:dance3: I'm renting from 13-19MAY, So he is only charging for 6 days as he will be picking the cart up on Saturday. :) Will report back on service later! :cheer2:

Oh, before I forget, here is the rental link. HTH! :surfweb:

& Yes, I did post this on another thread, but I thought it might help more if the word was spread. princess:

I think Kenny is worth the effort. :thumbsup2

I know most of us are used to the technology used today. Amazon.com can automatically confirm my order, send me tracking details which I can follow every step of the journey to my house, and then tell me when it's sitting on my front porch.

Kenny is a small business owner trying to deliver a product. His Sales Dept, Service Dept, Marketing Dept, and Operations Dept has a great deal of overlap. If you've ever tried to run a business you know you wear a lot of hats (all at the same time).

ladyelenawf, I'm glad you tried to contact Kenny again. Before anybody just cuts Kenny loose because of an unreturned email or a voice message that didn't get a call back, I'd ask you to try again. Your rate sounds like it's right at his current daily rate (for a full week or so). Those that do business with him compliment his level of service.

So good luck. May is a beautiful time at the Fort (after the spring break crowds, before the summer crowds, and wonderful weather). We'd like a trip report about your stay too. popcorn::
