Golf Cart At Fort Wilderness

OK this is probably a silly question, but if you rent a golf cart, can you park it near the boat launch for Magic Kingdom and leave it there for the day? If so are there any security issues on leaving your cart there?

You can leave your GC down near the Marina. If you are really fortunate and get a plug it can charge while you are gone.
As far as security...When you pick up your cart they will tell you that there is a $15 fee if you lose your key. SO, back in the day when before we had our own cart, we parked our rental only to return to find it gone. I went to the office and said "I still have the key, but the cart is gone!"
Apparently, it happens occasionally. They laughed and gave me a new cart. They said that they would have security look for the other one.
That was that.

Yes, there are cart parking areas there with outlets for charging. If there have been security issues, I've never heard of them. I wouldn't leave anything in them, but that's where everyone parks.

Actually there have been a couple issues out there up to and including the theft of an entire personal cart. They have become more diligent about what comes and goes but, magical place or not, no place is completely perfect. Take your valuables with you.

Most people put something on their cart to recognize it more quickly. It could be something as simple as a brightly colored towel, or a banner of some kind....nothing of much value, although we have never had anything taken in 13 years. But all those green carts tend to look alike after a long day at the parks.

There's also GC parking at the Outpost bus stop and in front of the Meadows Trading Post and beside the Pool.

We bring personal carts every year and have not had an issue. However, we don't leave valuables in the carts, and we ensure we take our keys with us.

Love the idea about putting something on the cart to recognize it! Never thought about that. We are renting one for our early Dec stay. How many people does it sit? Also, will have our kids 3 & 5 can they ride in the front. Thanks.

The disney carts are all 4 seaters. The charger is permanently mounted and you just have a cord to plug in to charge. Depending on use depends on how often to charge.

At 3 and 5 they can fit up front. If one had to ride in the backward facing seat with an adult, we have done it. But that depends on how you feel on it. As others said, all the rentals look alike, so something to tie to the roofline would help and make sure you know your cart number just in case.

We use rachet straps to hold car seats on the rear saet. Never had a problem.
