COKO - tons of animals in the morning at AK! But we usually do Tough to be a Bug first since lots of folks run for the safari. After Bug, we go to DinoLand for Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl. Then head to Africa, grab a fast pass for the safari then shop and have lunch while you wait for your fastpass. See a show in the afternoon (we love Tarzan!). Do Kali River right before you head home, you will be soaked!

See the fireworks from the Poly beach, then eat at Kona Cafe.

The food at MGM is pretty gross, unfortunately. There is a turkey leg stand right out fornt of the Fantsmic walkway that sells hot dogs as well. And you can buy sandwiches inside the Fantasmic theatre, but the lines are long!

Coko

I've only been to AK once, so I'm no expert, but we were there first thing in the morning last January 2nd and there were lots of animals out. I've always heard that animals are more active in the morning or when it's cool out. Plus, AK is very tropical, the walkways are narrower, and it just feels warmer and more humid there than any of the other parks, so I would definitely suggest getting there early. No idea how to save time, we wandered and took our time.

Ohanas at the Polynesian is a good place to see Wishes, but I doubt that the 15 of you can be seated together in front of the windows? When we were there, the larger parties were seated in what I would consider the 3rd row of tables from the windows. We were in the 2nd row with a PS made about a month in advance, so I took my 3 yr old ds and we sat on the floor off to the side close to the windows, of course I still asked the table next to us for permission. It was great, the music is piped in and they dim the lights. Be sure to get a "bucket of ice" for the kiddos. I've heard the California Grill at the Contemporary is just as good!

Have you checked out the Fantasmic dinner packages? The info is on the restaurant page. Going for the first time in Sept and still trying to decide.

Hope this helps a little!

Snoopymom,

Thank you for your advise. I thought it would better to visit AK in am. We will see if we can see more animals! Regarding Fantasmic Dinner package. Can we see Fantasmic from the restaurant? Hoping to see Wish from our hotel..... I wonder if we could..... I am trying to organize the trip and make things smooth for everyone. We have people from 2 year old to 65 year old!
I know it would be hard to please everyone, but don't want waist our time since our time are pretty limitted. I will try to do more research about dining and hope we can get good seating through Grand-gathering! Thanks again!

Don't have a plan. I plan on not having a plan, or itinerary. We tried planning the past two years and always ended up playing it by ear. Staying at Saratoga Springs 16th-25th. Going from there...

It is when you take the monorail to each of the resorts on the monorail line and have a drink at the lounge in that resort. We've hit the contemporary and poly so far.....but after a lapu lapu or 2 at the poly lounge we never seem to make it to the Grand Floridian. I will have to pace myself this time.
It is also a great way to get a feel of each of the resorts.
