We are planning to go to Phoenix in June (I know - it will be HOT :sunny: )
Anyway, there are so many resorts in the area I am having a hard time choosing one. It will be me, DH & 2 17 year old teens. DH plans to spend a lot of time golfing while we are there. DD would enjoy a spa. I just want a place to relax! I have read reviews on a lot of the resorts and as always they are mixed. I am used to "Disney resort standards" so I tend to compare everyplace to a Disney hotel. The Marriott Desert Ridge looks beautiful, but all they have available for our trip is a club room at $619.00 a night - if I am going to spend that much I will go to Disney! Any suggestions will be appreciated!!!!
Thanks!

I've only been to Phoenix once, but we stayed at Pointe South Mountain Resort (not sure if the link will work, but I'll try it).....

http://www.pointesouthmtn.com/

It was very nice and has a waterpark and spa (as well as golf). Their rooms are all suites, I believe.

I really have NO idea what we paid (it was on business so we didn't actually pay anything)....but I would be very happy to stay there again someday.

Hope you have fun!

We just stayed at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. It was fabulous! The rooms were very nice and the grounds were just gorgeous. The place is huge though, so that makes for lots of walking. The main pool is very beautiful and then there's a separate sports pool and a separate kids pool with a slide. The spa there is supposed to be the best, but I didn't use the services as they are very expensive.

Fairmont

I might also suggest the Westin Kierland. My friend just stayed there and she loved it. They have a lazy river in their pool which could be great during the summer. They are just next door to a really cool shopping area; you could walk. Now, the Fairmont is a few blocks to the shopping area, but you'd have to drive.

Westin

If I go back to Phoenix, I would have a hard time deciding between these two resorts.

We have stayed at many high end resorts for various work trips for DH and this one http://www.jwdesertridgeresort.com/ has been everyone's favorite or at least top two so far. The rooms are nice, the grounds lovely with a lot of walking paths, the food was excellent but the service was OUTSTANDING! They have great pools too. If you are taking kids their lazy river is a BLAST!

My favorite hotel/resort of all time: The Arizona Biltmore. It was designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wright, they still have the original carpets as wall hangings. Very classy, very lush, excellent spa. Lots of "A list" celebs to look at at, which can be very fun. A great vacation spot!

We go to the Tapatio HIlton Resort every year for the last oh 5 or 6 years. They have a great pool with a waterslide. Hosted evening parties with a Dj, dive in movie nights, 2 room suites, freek kids activites around the pool, free kids activites over in the main hotel that you can just sign your kids in for, including DDR last year. Vollyball at the main pool. They share resort priveledges with another resort called squaw peak. So you can sample both resorts. All in all its a great time!!! We love it there. We will probably be going there again this year.

Thanks for the suggestions so far, I will be busy tonight checking them all out! If anyone else has any ideas let me know.
Thanks again!
