You only have 1 day to visit Disney with your kids. What are your must dos? What are your tips?

What about 1 day in the park with no kids?

We will be able to visit MK for 2 days. One day we are taking our kids and one day we are not. I need to get a list together of must see things for each day. I'm the only one going that has ever been (or remembers going) so everything will be new to everyone in the group.

When DD is along I tend to focus mostly on Fantasyland followed by Tomorrowland. We love everything MK has to offer but DD's must-do attractions (all of FL, Buzz & TTA in TL) are located in those lands. If we're doing a quick service lunch it can only be at Cosmic Ray's because she has this fascination with Sonny Eclipse, and heck I like it in there too. We venture into all of the lands at some point though, mainly Frontierland for BTMRR and Splash, Adventureland for PotC, Aladdin, and JC. I prioritize our FP+ reservations by selecting times in the morning/early afternoon to allow for additional FP+ selections at a decent time. Fantasyland sees the most congestion (IMO) so that's where we spend our time immediately following RD; I like to be in and out with everything accomplished before massive crowds form. I'm not about to run from one side of the park to the other so we end our nights in Adventureland, completing a full circuit of the park.

If DD isn't with me (an incredibly rare occurrence) I usually follow the same pattern as above but start in Adventureland and end in Tomorrowland, with a lot less emphasis on Fantasyland.
