Going straight to Star Wars Launch bay?

I'm spending just a morning at HS. We have fastpasses for the headliners we plan to ride, so that's not an issue. It seems like going straight to Launch Bay would be a good way to tour it with minimal waits. Any thoughts on that strategy? Is it pretty empty first thing, and thus a good time for close to zero wait time for meet and greet?

You could head there first thing if you wanted to. As long as you don't have any other rides you want to ride that would be a significant wait. The Launch Bay meets never get too backed up and are a pretty consistent 20-30 min wait.

That's our plan too. Can't wait to meet Chewie! I'm trying to decide if we would have time to sign up for JTA and then get over to Launch Bay before the crowds. We may do 2 mornings there.

On our trip the week after Easter, we went to the Launch Bay after riding TSMM, RNRC (single rider), and TOT and the wait to see Chewbacca was only 15 minutes. We came back later to see Kylo Ren using our Disney VISA.

I would think that if you went right to the Launch Bay you could see both characters with very short waits. The vast majority of people entering the park head right for the major rides.
