I haven't decided for sure if we are going to do Disney next year or not -- gasp! I think we may really need a break at this point. However, if we do go, it will either be in June or December.
It was a great day---topped it off with our lovely "Taco Tuesday" night for dinner, and enjoyable, romantical relaxing time with Tom last night. It really was a good day----minus the crummy issues I am running into with going back to work, but I am just going to pretend all that ugliness just didn't happen!!!!

Happy Canada Day Gnomies!

Eclipse?
Jackie -- I finished The Piano Teacher...I loved it right up to the end. Maybe I'm dense but I don't get what really happened! I'm so confused.![]()

Crud -- now I can't remember what happened. Oh, now I do -- she decided to go off and do her own thing and be all independent and stuff. I think.
I was so wowed by that book -- I had no idea the Japanese ever invaded Hong Kong -- it was like an entire section of history I was completely unaware of!
They were all vague about things though in regards to the other people....I mean I think I know what they were trying to say but I was confused.
I did love love love the book up until the end. I didn't know that either, so I did enjoy the history of it.
I started The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie last night. It's grabbed me. I have to cover the receptionist desk after lunch so I will get lots and lots of reading in, I'm very excited.
Have you gone to see Eclipse yet?

There was a bit of vagueness near the end.
I adore Flavia -- I can't get enough of her. I finished the second book last week, and it was just as good. It was called The Weed That Strings the Hangman's Bag. I am already looking forward to the third one because Flavia just cracks me up.
We have not made it to see Eclipse yet -- did you enjoy it?
Flavia seems like a great little character. I'm excited to read more.
I did enjoy it, it's been the best movie yet. I have to be honest though...my excitement for Twilight in general has died out as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows gets closer. I really can't wait for those movies. They had a nice long trailer for it at Eclipse and it looks amazing, a lot of the scenes are just how I imagined them while reading.
We are very excited about the Deathly Hollows which reminds me that Connor and I keep meaning to watch the trailer online. I will be doing that as soon as I finish on the DIS boards this morning. We also really want to go see the HP theme park over at Universal, but Connor agreed with me that we should wait when I showed him pictures of what the crowds have looked like lately.
I really want to get over to Universal too, but I also want to wait for opening mania to die down a bit. In my head, I have Marc & I going to Disney again in January 2012, so I wouldn't mind a little Universal detour to check out Harry Potter.![]()

Hi gals,
I'm very intrigued by Harry Potter "land" too... I've heard very mixed reviews so far. I'm definitely not heading near it until things calm down.
Does anyone have any fun holiday weekend plans?

2xcited2sleep said:Jackie, I refuse to believe there are no fun plans at your house. You are always up to something fun!

2xcited2sleep said:I have no plans other than enjoying the sun and catching up on my reading. I will have to go back and look over everyone's book recommendations.

Promise to take it all in and report back every last detail.
