Gnomies Gone Wild

Morning girls!

MM - swimming lessons and dance recitals sound fun (and busy, but the good kind!)

I'm woke up much earlier than normal today because my brain is stressing about these tickets. I didn't hear back yesterday so about 4:00 I called and was told by the guy I talked to that he believed my "case" was passed on to the wrong group. He was so great and found a pair of tickets in the section we were supposed to get but told me because of the cost, he wasn't authorized to get them to me and had to pass it on to another group.

I called back last night to see if there was any news and was told no. Each person I talk to guarantees I will have tickets but I'm getting very nervous about HOW I will get them. We are leaving for St Louis after taking the boys to school. I'm going to have to maybe request they are sent to my brother's hotel in St Louis (we are meeting him for a late lunch in the afternoon) or to the dome to be held at will-call

I know I didn't do anything wrong, but I am feeling bad for the person we bought the tickets from. He entered the wrong section number in his listing (floor section instead of concourse) I suspected this was the case when I bought the tickets based on the row number. We could have purchased tickets in the concourse section for $20-25 less but took these hoping they were in the floor section and the error was in the row number. Well because of the guarantee from this website, they will give us tickets in the floor section and the seller must pay the difference. Prices have gone up quite a bit in the last 4 days and that difference is up to about $200 per ticket.

Yes, he made a tidy profit from our purchase but he will lose that and more. plus because the game is tomorrow, he won't even be able to sell them to someone else to recover the loss. I told one of the people I talked to yesterday that if it helped, I would bring them to will-call for someone else who wants to purchase them but they said their policy is to return them to the seller.

OK...rambling over! I just discovered the local egg hunt is at 10:00 on saturday so is will be a short night for Greg and I! (I'm guessing we'll get back into town about 7 am)

Anyways, happy Thursday everyone!

Happy Thursday, indeed. Closer to the weekend is always a good thing!

K- hope that your tickets work out! :goodvibes

MM- my goodness you are busy, busy busy! Looking forward to seeing Meg in her soccer gear. I'm sure she's adorable!!

Those of you Twilight fans-- was New Moon a good movie? I have it coming via Netflix for the weekend. I'm hoping it is good!

Hope everyone has a great day!! :)

Katie -- more pixie dust for the tickets! :wizard:

Christine -- New Moon was watchable -- it was a painless way to spend the afternoon. I particularly liked the Volturi .

New Moon is a great movie. Some people at work who haven't read the books said they didn't like the ending but I was expecting it so it didn't bother me.

Katie, I'm so sorry about all the stress with the tickets. I am sure they will get everything figured out for you.

My throat is bothering me today. I really hope I'm not getting sick! :headache:

ONE MORE DAY...ONE MORE DAY...ONE MORE DAY...

Only have to survive one more day until Spring Break...and boy I cannot wait LOL!!!!

I have a lot to be doing, of course we all have a lot to be doing LOL, but my to-do list is sizeable, but I'm still looking so forward to having an entire week off LOL!!

I'm going to take one day off though and go fishing with Phillip and then go to Mobile for a shopping date with him!!

Mobile, AL? My dad was born there!

Fishing, eh? Sounds like fun. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

I'm not feeling any better. I'm not happy. This is what I get when people cough and sneeze all around me all week. UGH. I'm supposed to go to my parents tomorrow night. Mom is having a girls night and Dad & Marc are going out and then Saturday shopping for Marc's birthday present from my parents. I hate going up there when I'm sick because I don't want to make them sick. So I might have to stay home. UGH.

LL, hope the sickies don't stick around long!

Jen, enjoy your break!! Greg and the boys have a long Easter weekend (Thurs, Fri, Mon) instead of a full week this year. We're going to have to think of a couple fun things to do.

Finally got the ticket situation settled. I didn't get the row 22 tickets I was told about yesterday but will be in row 26...I can handle that! I will be picking them up at a hotel nearby so that should work out OK :)

Happy Friday!!! :yay:

Katie- so glad the tickets worked out. Have a great time!! :goodvibes

LL- how are you feeling?

CP- hope you're hanging in there with all the unfortunate nonsense you've had going on lately.

Jen (JJ)- so close to spring break! :woohoo:

Jen (MM)- I'm not big on sports. Do you have more hoops hosting to do this weekend? It sounds like you guys have been having fun.

Stacy- hope you have some fun plans with your friend this weekend. ;)

Julez- your trip is getting closer!!

Jess- still out there? Hope school and work are going well.

Let me know if anyone is feeling chatty this weekend. I have NO plans and I'm looking forward to a lazy weekend around the house! :)

Hey Gnomies.

I'm not feeling any worse so I'm taking that as a good sign today.

Have fun at the game, Katie!

I might be around Saturday night for a chat. Just name a time. :thumbsup2

Hi, everyone! Can I just say that I am so glad it is the weekend! Albeit, I think it is going to be a busy one. Connor has a friend over this evening (Chelsea was supposed to, but the girl canceled at the last minute), and my father-in-law comes in tomorrow morning. That will mean lots of family time the next couple of days.

Whew! I am worn out just thinking about it all.

CP- good luck with all the family time. :goodvibes

If anyone is feeling chatty tonight... 8 or 9pm Eastern... just let me know! :upsidedow

Hey girls!

Well, we had a great time yesterday. The drive to St Louis was easy (they recently finished the 4 lane through Missouri so the only 2 lane left is the 40 miles between our town and I-80) we met my brother and his family for a late lunch, picked up the tickets then Greg and I just took our time taking in some of the sights of downtown as we walked to the dome.

The Ohio State/Tenn game was very exciting to watch. There were a TON of UNI fans there! Lots and lots of purple in the crowd. They had a pretty good first half but struggled to make their shots fall in the second half and unfortunately lost. Still, it was something we'll probably not do again so it was worth it I think!

The drive home was brutal. We switched drivers every hour or so and got home about 5 this morning. We have both napped a lot today! If we ever do decide to do it again, we will wait until the boys are gone and we can easily take the whole weekend.

Anyways, if I am still awake, I'll stop into chat tonight to see if anyone is around.

Good evening gnomies!

Whew today was a long day! 10 hour days in retail are not fun! We had a fire alarm issue and had to evacuate the store for nearly an hour!:headache: I am exhausted! Probably doesn't help that I was out late last night with "someone" ;) I think we've turned into a "we"

Katie - Glad to hear you and Greg had fun and the ticket situation was fixed up!:goodvibes

LL - hope you're feeling better! :)

C - you should make plans with your "someone" this weekend! Have you two discussed a DVC trip? ;)

Jen - hope your spring break is off to a great start! :)

Hope everyone else is having a fun weekend! :thumbsup2

Hiya Gnomies.

Sorry I missed chat. If you all had it. I've been busy this weekend and this is the first time I've gotten on the computer.

I really wish the warm weather would come back. I'm not liking the bitter cold outside when it's so sunny out.

I posted pictures of before/after of the new apartment on Facebook. I think most of you are my friends on there, if not we should be! :rotfl2:

Hi everybody! It's a beautiful yet cold day in sunny Illinois and I have spent the last hour virtually filling a Disney cart because... it's fun! LOL.... ah... maybe SOMEDAY I can really just fill one and hit checkout.

Goin' out to enjoy the sunshine and do some *real* window-shopping now! Love ya!
