Gnomies Gone Wild

I am totally lost! I do see a "what kind of witch are you" quiz that LL took, I think. I will take that b/c it's the only thing I can figure out how to do! :rotfl:

--------------

OK, Seriously. FB is like another world. LL just scored a high score or something on some game and I have no idea what it means but I think she's excited about it. I feel so old and out of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But on the plus side I already chatted tonight w/ someone I'd lost touch with and was sad to have lost touch so it's already worth it!

So, do you feel like you are getting the hang of it yet? I felt so lost at first, too -- I think it is a normal reaction!

Well girls, Blake's sister in law just had baby #2 this afternoon. They induced her this morning, a week early and the kid weighed 9 1/2 pounds!! Holy crap, her 1st one was 8 1/2. No wonder she felt as bad as she did. :sad2: They named him Thaeden. The 1st one was named Magnus. That's a whole 'nother story there :rotfl:

I cleaned my office out today :guilty: I took all my pictures down and my calendar, it was sad. But tomorrow I just have to go in and do a 45 minute step to my stuff that I worked on this week so that my lab work will be ready for me when I come back, but then we're off to the beach! It's about a 7 hour drive for us, we're going to try and leave out of here around 10 and get down there around dinner time, give or take any traffic we might run into. But hope you all have a great and excellent weekend/week! We'll be back on the 15th, but then we're stopping in Virginia because Blake's family wants to see him on his birthday. Wish me luck with that, I'm still miserable about the one they "celebrated" for me in february. So we'll technically be back on the 17th. I'll miss you soooo much!:grouphug:

Hey gang,

CP....hoping tomorrow goes well for you too!

C...you will get the hang of it, just takes time!

Jess...love the hair!!

Stace...sounds like you are having a good week!

I took Megs to her last therapy session today....after 5 years of non-stop therapy I feel a little lost! I feel like our safety net has just been ripped out from beneath us....I know that sounds crazy, I just think you get SO used to something being a constant in your life, it is a little unsettling when it disappears! It is just like the day we finally got to take Megs home from the NICU...the last thing they did was disconnect her from her monitors and turn them off....I know I audibly gasped and held my breath for quite a few seconds...it was the first time in her life that I didn't know exactly what was going on in her little body at all times.....I survived that, so I am sure we will get along just fine now too! I did get all choked up and teary eyed when we left though. Okay, now I am just babbling so I will shut up and wish you all a good morning!!!!

I'm not sure why I'm browsing a Disney pin website when I do not own any Disney pins (well not yet anyway ;)) but I came across this and found it interesting. It lists all of the pins and pin groups and all those pins associated with it. So, for example, the COP, it shows a picture of all the pins styles made for that particular ride, or movie, or resort or character. Kinda interesting to browse :goodvibes

Hallelujah, it's Friday! :yay:

Jess- hope you have a safe and fun trip to the beach! I know how sad it is to empty out an office. Hopefully the beach will be just what you need and when you get back you will find lots of different opportunities!

Congratulations on the birth of your nephew! Those are, um, unique names for your nephews.

Jen - congratulations to you, Meg and Tom for reaching another milestone in her development. That's fantastic. I do know how disconcerting it can be to change the daily routine but as you said, you've done it before and you'll all do fine! :goodvibes

Have a great day, gals! :upsidedow

Wow I'm gone about a day and a half and look at all I miss!!! Well I'm home thank goodness and no more airplane rides in my future for a long time!!!!
I do have to take Prince P to the airport today and then go have my front brakes looked at because they are making a grinding noise...but oh well that is life!!!

Jen...Oh I'm sure you are feeling a bit disconnected but in time things will get easier and like C said what a milestone!!

Speaking of C...Look who got Facebook!! I found you through LL's page and added you as a friend!! Can't wait to be chatting with you on there YAY!!!!!!

Well back to helping Prince P pack and getting things ready...I can't wait for 6pm tonight...then I can officially start to chill YAY!!

Thanks for all the love and support gang!!!! I think I had my day of shock and realization that we were DONE, but now I am so excited for her. She even told me this morning already that she was so happy that therapy ("ferapy" in Meganese) was over! I am really a very proud Mommy, and I think my hesitation yesterday was a little due to the emotional sentimentality I was feeling....it has been such a long road, one we were never assured she would complete, and she DID IT!!!!! I got tears in my eyes as I was saying good bye to the therapists that have tirelessly worked with her for five years and the staff that have rooted and cheered her on for so long. They are like extended family to us.....many of them have had a chance to witness some of the same baby milestones at the same time we have....the first time she sat up, crawled, took her first steps, pedaled a bike, etc. Today, I just can't contain my pride for her.....I think my daughter is amazing!!!!

Awww...now I need to find my tissue box!! Jen, you and Meg are such an inspiration!! What a story she has!!!! Your daugther is definitely amazing and is such a blessed little girl to have her biggest fans in her mommy and daddy!!!

Congrats to all of you! And esp. to Megan. I hope she is proud of herself! :goodvibes

I'm disgruntled.

The surgical weight loss coordinator just called Marc and let them know that I have to be cleared by the cardiologist because apprently during my EKG my heart rate was a bit high, even though they think it could be due to nerves the anthiesologist will want me cleared.

I just would love to know how many more appointments they want me to squeeze in the next two weeks. I'm having to go to two support groups, one I have to take the afternoon off for, another check in with the nutrionist, now the cardiologist, a sleep study on Sunday night and I know after my check in with the nutritionist I have at least one or two more pre-op appointments. I'm frustrated. I'm taking all of these unpaid because I'm saving all of my sick time for when I'm out.

BAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I know this is all for the greater good at this point I'm really looking forward to going to sleepy town during the surgery!

I can understand your frustration though...that is a lot of unpaid time to be taking from work!! However as you stated it is better for you to be going to this appointments and making sure everything is okay before the surgery!!!!

LL- sorry you're disgruntled. Although I have to confess to getting a mini giggle out of that word. ;) Keep your eyes on the prize!

Jen (JJ) - welcome home!! And thanks for friending me on FB. I am still trying to figure it all out.

Jen (MM) - glad you're feeling better about things and bursting with pride for Megs. She is amazing. And of course she couldn't be so amazing without some amazing parents! :goodvibes

Hi Julez! yes, I'm on FB but don't know how to do anything yet. :rotfl:
